I understand this statement well. I did one full interior swap and never want to do another one.

Well it's been kind of slow around here lately and I don't have much to share since winter will be here soon and I don't want to put on new parts just to have them see the elements if I can't find a vehicle to drive this winter. Been putting in some time in my tree stand trying to fill the freezer as fast as I can. Been striking out lately unfortunately... I did how ever get permission to hunt some private land that I have seen quite a few already, just out of my comfortable range with the bow. Gun season is in 2 weeks and I will have my muzzle loader and they will stand no chance!

A little update on the 05. Pulled the motor this past weekend. What fun that was!

Didn't know we had to pull the intermediate shaft, so we split the boot. Boy was that grease nasty in there!

Well with winter bearing down on us shortly here there won't be much to update other than boxes of parts piling up in the basement. Should make for a fun spring/summer next year!

Stock pile: Tein SA Coils, DC Sports Intake (May Sell and get the AEM V2), RV6-P Strut Bar, Tein EDFC (Still undecided if I install this), Slave Cylinder Check Valve Delete, HID Fogs, DRL LEDs, SPC Rear Upper Camber Arms.

Wish list: Full Exhaust, Hondata Tuning, Less Aggressive Wheels.

2005 Progress - Motor/Trans are split. Motor up on a stand waiting for a buyer, or ready for tear down and part out. Car gets hauled away tomorrow morning. Was a fun journey but won't part out another car until I add onto my garage. Sucks not being able to park in the garage at the moment. Excited it will be gone tomorrow though! More so my girlfriend, she says she gets the garage spot until the motor is gone then we can get both in there. Wish I had a 2.5 instead of a 2 car garage. Can't have everything in your first house...

if you're considering tuning i would ditch the dc for the aem v2 for sure.

for the EDFC, are you going the old school one or the new wireless one? if you're going to keep your car around i would suggest the wireless one, it's pretty awesome. regarding install you should be able to tackle it if you go wireless and have done your own suspension installs before. here's my DIY and review if you want to scope it out:

05 was picked up Saturday morning... Bitter sweet ending to that car!

On to happier news. I finally have a place to park away from mother nature, unless my girlfriend gets home before me!

I noticed that the other day. Now that you mention it I will get pictures of it and send them an email. We will see what they have to say.

@sockr1 - Can you elaborate on this? I may be picking up Breezy's 530s off of him very soon here and want to maintain my TL as a semi-comfortable daily. From what I gather if you're not slammed and run these wheels with the 225/40 tire specs it's a stock like ride quality (assuming your coils are tuned correctly height and dampening wise). What am I missing here?

Mother Nature hates us right now. 2 snow falls and this is where we are at. Don't know how my girlfriends car with electric start gets the garage spot.

Please let the next 3 months go fast!

Springtime can't come fast enough. We've had a run of really decent weather. But the middle of next week, it's supposed to be in the 20's here in KC.

Well after running my XXR's for a summer and realizing how rough the ride is, before coils, I decided to let the go last night. Took a small hit on them but stood my ground to get what I wanted. They are a fantastic wheel but the WOW factor wore off fast since you see them almost everywhere. Now I need to finish my Aspec's so I can have a nice wheel to drive this summer. Only 2 more months and decent weather should be here to stay. Battling a new round of snow after a couple weeks of mid 40's....

Can't wait to get a good clay bar and buff done. She needs it!

Well this weekend is suppose to be very nice here. Talking in the 60's! Time to break out the swim suit and go for a dip.

I've had my CSC sitting on my desk for a couple months now with no luck getting the damn C-clip out. Well today I finally found a small enough flat head to pry it out. The clip damn near took my eye out! Flew past my co-worker on the other side of the wall and disappeared for about 30 minutes. After cleaning his office, we were able to find it, thank god! I didn't want to buy a new one just for a C-clip. Pushed the Check Valve out, and buttoned her up. I may get to it this weekend or just wait til spring. Antlers are dropping from the bucks and my dog likes to run thru the woods, so we may go do that.

that c-clip is the biggest pain in the butt!!! haha
i heard stories about the c-clip missile, so i put a towel over it when i got it loose. i've also heard of people doing the removal inside a large ziplock bag. glad you got it out, makes a huge difference in the 6mt!

So I was cruising craigslist last night and came across what seems to be a good deal on some Rota Grids in gold. (3) BNIB 18x9.5 +35 asking $250. Thought about snagging them since they are cheap... Found I could buy a single new, same spec, wheel for $250 shipped. Are they wheels decent? I have read mixed reviews and not sure if they clear Brembos. Would do a test fit first before buying since I don't want to run spacers. Let me know your thoughts! I do have a set of tires already (245/40), so I could just get them mounted and be done. Would be interesting if I rub.

Weather was pretty crappy this weekend. Hit with a couple inches of snow after a week of 50's... Was able to get an oil change in and rotated the tires. I decided to give this a try. Hopefully it makes my oil changes a little cleaner!

Has there been any incident of road debris opening the valve while driving? Seems like they should have designed the valve to open "forward" to prevent driving over something and it catching the tab to open it. I know there is a little plastic clip but I figured it would break over time with hot/cold temps here in WI.

This is a Fumoto F-106N Engine Oil Drain Valve and ADP-106 Fumoto Adapter 14mm-1.5. So far no leaks. Also these allow you to take oil samples without having to drain the whole pan. Kept my pan bold just in case something goes wrong with the valve and starts leaking.

I thought it would be easier to transfer oil straight to containers instead of having to poor it from a catch pan. Saves the mess! Attach a piece of tubing to the nipple and open the valve!

Funny you bring that up. I went to install them last night but couldn't get the tails off without moving the bumper. Q said he didn't bolt them into that bracket but I think it is catching on the tabs on the bottom of the housing. I will have to remove them when I have more time. I am going to try to mod mine from my part out so if they turn out well, I will sell a pair.

Yesterday wasn't a complete bust... FedEX left me a gift! HIC replaced the Rear Visor due to the "sag" and I upgraded to the CF Visor with supports. I will wait til better weather to remove the old and install the new. Looks really nice though, Can't wait to swap it.
