Was able to swap the calipers this weekend. I have another driver side rear that I am going to paint to try and match the second one I did. It is bugging me but for the time being I can still drive it for a little bit longer before it goes to storage. I did pull up another project in the works to see what they look like, and this winter they will get powdercoated. Looking into going slotted rotors as well. Will probably wait til spring to put them on. Front calipers are going to have to wait as well. I just don't have time before Nov. 1 to get them done the way I want to get them done.
Seeing the car with the light on the paint makes me want a full paint correction and ceramic coating...
Don't worry those white marks aren't rock chips!
18x8.5 aspecs in primer. I may try to rattle can one and clear it to see how it would turn out but will most likely get them powdercoated if it turns out shitty. I want to go with Kingsport Grey from Prismatic Powders.
20mm spacer on the rear should give me a flush set up with these!
She was dirty so I used the rain as my spot free rinse!!!
Squeeky clean!
27 days until storage....
mannn you need a paint correction asap haha, swirl city! overall can't wait to see how it all sits in the spring with fresh caliper paint and maybe some PC wheels! for some reason i thought you were lowered?
a ceramic coating would be icing on the cake after you'll be amazed at how it looks and holds up. you going to throw a 15mm in front too to complement the 20mm rear?

Local detail shop said about $1200 for a 4-5 day spa treatment. 8-Year warranty comes with a full exterior detail (wash, iron X decontamination, full clar, cleaning of the door jams and windows), full paint correction and polish. Ceramic coat applied to the painted body, headlights, tail lights, moldings, grill, etc. Everything but the glass. Let cure for 24 hours.
I am lowered and have 15f/20r on stock waffles. I need to get some new rotors for the front but will probably buy a 4 pc slotted set.
Well a little update before the car goes into storage at the end of the week. My rear seat bottom had 2 rips in it that were covered up with packing tape. Looked like shit and I knew I would get dinged in resale for it. Came across a member who replaced their covers and the rear bottom was mint. Got my hands on that set of leathers and swapped mine out. What a pain in the ass but man does it look much better!
We are suppose to get .5-2" of snow tonight... I may throw some griots on it tonight and install tomorrow. I should have put it in storage this weekend before they dump salt all over the roads for this shit weather coming this week...

Yep, just put my Mustang away for the winter yesterday. Used the Acura today. Feels good to be back in it.
Glad I got my plants cut back and grass cut one last time on Sunday! Weatherman was actually right about this shit. Hopefully we don't get anymore so I can get a clean car to storage this week sometime...
Dudeeee I am so not ready for winter but my son likes riding on the quad and doing snownuts haha We're supposed to get some snow next week. I better make a spot for sleeping beauty

Last Friday was the hardest day I've had in awhile. The Type-S went to a new home. I tried talking myself out of it so many times but in the end I was OK with letting it go. New owner was thoroughly pleased and kept reminding me of how nice it was. After stopping at the DMV to get a title printed, to sign over, I handed him the keys. At that time he told me to drive home one last time. I will miss that car, but I think it is time to move on to something else. Of course every time I browse the Marketplace, on FB, there are multiple TL-S that pop up. Tempting but I'm getting out of them since nothing will compare to this one. The car went to New York and made it with zero issues, as expected! Enjoy the new ride, and hope to see him post a progress thread.
One last fill up!
Finally was able to hear the exhaust tone for the first time, outside of the car, since putting it on. It sounded so good!
My fiance said she passed the car on her way home from work and felt a little sad to see it go by without me in the driver seat. With it being winter time and usually the car is in storage, it really hasn't hit me yet that I will never drive it again. Come May, when I should be getting it from storage, it will hit big time not having a fun, summer car to whip around in. Just means I will need to finish the bike by then.
Dang man definitely a great and awesome looking car. Hopefully new owner takes car of it like you did. Looking forward to the bike progress though!
Got the garage wired up, insulated and drywalled. Heater is installed and actually does a good job for how little it is. I will run a dual sun flower heater as well to speed up the process. It is quite comfy in there when it warms up enough to take the edge off of the cold. Should be starting on the bike again in a couple weeks hopefully now that I have cleared out some of the garbage in the garage and have room again to park my fiance's explorer in there.

Sounds great, I have a wood burner but it eats wood like you would not believe, luckily winter has not settled in just yet and we're still averaging in the 30s. If you are ever in good ole Ohio next summer you can rip my car around for a while to get your 6mt fix!
