Rat problems part 2
Hey guys
Not directly related, but this is the second time this year that I've had to deal with car and rat issues; the first being a rat chewed through 4 different wires in my engine harness resulting in a $400 wire repair.
Since then, I moved my car into the garage, but I had issues with a 2000 Toyota Sienna wherein it reported that the air/fuel mix was too lean. I figured I'd start out by just cleaning the MAF sensor, which is located inside the engine filter box. On a whim, I removed the filter as well only to find...
It looks like the rat climbed in through the air intake duct and just got comfortable in there. It's a stroke of luck really, because staying inside the engine filter box probably prevented him from chewing up any wires.
