Talking TL-S Radio, Dash and Misc Bulb Part Number Thread

Hey guys...have a bulb out in my new TL-S so I figured I'd cough up the $40 to replace all the bulbs in the radio surround. They're wedge style and were likely produced in the same batch and have always been on a the same time. I would hate to pull the radio to swap that one bulb out and then have other ones go out randomly.

Someone put something together like this on S2KI for the S2000 and I found it very helpful. I searched and couldn't find it here so I figured I'd start. Only listing the ones around the radio surround since I won't mind tackling the others in batches if I ever need to (door panel/seat heaters/steering wheel).

If anyone else wants to take the time to put the part numbers and quantities together, feel free to add to the thread.

J.

You're welcome, boys...
funny story, drive car home...1 bulb out, a week later...5 out.
I guess since they are all on at the same time and are from one batch of bulbs, it's likely they all go out at the same time.

LOL - I've had 3 bulbs out for a couple of years but the rest remain working fine, so I haven't decided to tackle - regardless of bulb prices.

I will likely just address the ones that are out, doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason with how long they last.
$4 isn't a big deal but if you're doing all 30 of them it's not nothing...

I get it, but how happy are you going to be when you replace the ones that are out and then the following week two more are out. I was going to have a Honda mechanic replace only the ones that were out and he said, it would be worthwhile to do them all. Obviously, I haven't done anything..............

@NBP04TL4ME That was my original thought but since it seems like they really don't ever go out together and some last a long time...it might be okay to just pop in a few junkyard bulbs for cheap...
although you're right...the right way is just order all of the ones for that particular area, at least.

I'll be ordering all 12 for the Navi screen as I only have I think 4 out on my 08 TLS, my 07 TLS has more out but I'm kinda whatever about those. Question is the labor? As I really don't wanna do it myself...parts and shipping ran - $74.67

See, that is just ridiculous and I refuse to pay that much. Especially when you consider the cost for the manufacture of those bulbs. They probably paid some poor 9-year-old kid in China half a bowl of Coco Puffs to make 1000.
