And thanks for all the audio advice, gents.

So if I really wanted it to sound nice, I'd have to add an amp and speakers? I'm sure I can install a spare tire mounted 10" sub all sneaky spec. But....I'm EVER so busy.

The 2011 tech wagon that we have sounds pretty deng fantastic. I know it has a 10" sub. So I assume that most of the bass is handled by the sub rather than the speakers?

I'm not a windows-down at high speed kinda guy. I hate the fucking wind. I just like listening to shit REALLY loudly. I'm usually feelin them cool cool island breezes, ya feelin me? BOY-EEEE
Turn the bass down in the equalizer...? Sounds like you are sending too much of that frequency to speakers that can't handle it.

If the system has a sub, all of the frequencies below a certain threshold will be sent to the sub.

If you want to jack the volume and bump the rap musics like all the kids are these days, you'll need two amps (speaker and sub), new speakers, new sub, new enclosure, and all the wiring to go with it. Probably going to need to figure out where to tap in for signal too.

Turn the bass down lol. What source are you using? Phone, radio, sat, 8 track?

I think the bass is at -1?

I'm using an aux cord and my samsung s5 that stores MAD music, y0.

I listen to everything. Bassy songs are the issue. I can usually blast the kill em all album without issue. Hope everyone in the neighborhood(s) likes Kill em All. Because they finna hear it.

But if I'm listening to rap or reggae or electronic music....there is an issue with bass-to-volume ratio. The songs are too bassy to listen to them at my desired volume. I'll try turning the bass down a little more than it already is. But I'll do so begrudgingly, and while cursing your name.

PM me your name.

I'm driving the wagon today because I need to haul massive cargo. So I'll be happy AF listening to all this Matisyahu and The Green at a volume that a party man who is still in his party years can hear it while partying.

Turn the bass down on your phone too. Chances are that it has an equalizer or bass boost or something like that built in that's fvcking things up. Turn that ish off. I hope you blast highway to hell every time you drive by a church.

Name is in my username? Feel free to curse it, you aren't the only one. The wife does it erry day.

Definitely turnT off the bass boost on the phone. I saw the option for bass boost, and asked, "what am I, some kind of goddamn asshole?"

Thanks for the advice so far. I know people like me are difficult to deal with.

Does the car have that active noise cancelling or auto leveling thing option?

Is that screwing with things?

I don't think that's a problem until you bring in an aftermarket amp for a subwoofer that picks up and amplifies the low frequencies...

although that's a great thought, I hadn't even considered it.

Unless you were being sincere. In which case....thanks!

And to answer your question, I gained internet fame in the same way as I gained a stranglehold on the streetz. Because of my impressive gangsta raps.

I make it a point to watch at least a show per night...even if it's just 1 hour. Oddly, that's the only time wife and I have together to bond. With no communication with each other

Yeah. Kinda the same. We work, go to seperate (but equal?) gyms. Have our own hobbies, etc. So we do watch a show on Hulu/Netflix at night together.

And broad city. We do always watch that shit. Shit makes us laugh. And makes me miss living in a city :'(

Lenny is from of Mice and Men. Played by John Malkovich.

While the Movie (adapted from a John Steinbeck novel) is named Of MICE and Men....Lenny is actually famous for petting RABBITS to death by accident.

The movie where Michael Clark Duncan says "Boss. Saw me a mouse go by..." is The Green Mile. The actor with the mouse on his shoulder is Michael Jeter. He was also in waterworld.

Idk why I know these movies.

I can manage to watch some TV shows. The simpsons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Seinfeld, etc.
