Car won't start - 6 Speed Swap
Just finishing up the swap, but the car won't start =[
If I understand correctly, crank but no start can be immobilizer issue.
Unfortunately, my car doesn't even crank. I press the clutch, try to start the car, and nothing. No crank attempt.
Anything I should try?
I do have a green flashing key. I am using the old TL key, with the new CL key next to it. Hoping the ECU will catch the CL key's chip, even though the TL key is inserted into the car.
Also, how hard is it to swap the ignition key cylinder?

For some reason, the CL key actually fits into the TL key cylinder, so no need for immobilizer programming.
Still clueless on the no start, no crank. The underhood fusebox makes some click noises, but doesn't do anything. Starter doesn't make any noises.
Any way to troubleshoot?

Ok, so it seems the ECU is not getting the signal that the clutch is being pressed. When the clutch is not pressed a certain pin should give 0V. Unfortunately, it gives 0V regardless of pressing or not.
If I disconnect the plug from the clutch, the car should think that the clutch is constantly being pressed. Also, I tested the clutch pedal button sensor, and it worked fine.
Somewhere, there is a disconnect from the clutch pedal being pressed, and the ECU getting that signal.
Any ideas?

Got it. The problem was the clutch interlock switch. Clutch pedal has 2 buttons/sensors. I was dicking around with the bottom one, and didn't even see the top one.
The top one (which controls the starter relay), needs to be pressed for the car to start. My pedal pressed down all the way still doesn't reach the button.
Looking at the CL, I see there are spacers to push the pedal out a bit. I will have to get some washers to place them there. Really surprised no one mentioned this in the 6 speed threads.
Still thankful that the CL key worked in my TL. Lol, what are the chances right?
