It would be good for you, Dave, to get the mileage off the odometer. So you know how much "testing" they do ( comes to mind)

Well look at it this way, if all goes well you'll be getting pretty much your entire $70k back

^I hope so, i'm just 100% sure on the outcome of this , they might not want to give my money back , and then ill be stuck with a car thats not safe to drive. Then when comes time to sell it , i wouldn't want to sell a car to someone that i know isn't safe , i could be held responsible if anything happens to that person.

^ Beautiful car. Unfortunately, I don't have 125k+ to spend.

I feel like the CTS-V is the best bang for the buck on the market right now. You can get one decked out for less than 70k, and they seem to be well built. The CTS-V owners on the cadillac forum can't stop raving about them. And how can you argue with 550+ stock HP? And American Muscle. I realize it's not for everyone though.

If I had my pick I would probably get the sedan though. I love the sleeper potential (although it's hard to hide 550 supercharged horses) and I'm not in love with the rear end on the coupe. I would take either in heartbeat though.

This is what your lawyer is going to be for. There must be part of the lemon law that covers worth of the asset.

Oh btw...+1000 for the CTS-V

+1 550HP is amazing for stock, M3 is only 414 and even with a supercharger , it wont be able to touch the CTS-V in the straight, the main thing i love about the M3 is how well it handles, effortless.

I agree! I hear the suspension on the CTS-V is fantastic... everyone seems extremely please with it from a performance AND comfort standpoint. But the feel of an m3 is something to be marveled.

I agree with both points. The more I hear, and considering BMW is looking into your case, I feel they will try to take care of you. At least I hope so, for your sake!

Testdrive one, you may be disappointed coming from your M3. The transmission on the GT is a slushbox although I did not drive the S version. Beautiful car otherwise.

If BMW doesn't pan out come over to Porsche. Best automotive decision I ever made. In retrospect I'm glad I passed on the M6 for the C2S.

Pretty sure the CTSV stock cant do mid to low 11s in the 1/4

Supercharged M3 is no joke son. Just pricey and makes the CTS-V look more of a bargain.

Oh the IRONY of that name. Wow.

Sucks that some greaseball is driving your $70K car home and to work. God I'd be livid. Wouldn't sit behind the wheel of that car again.

You dont want to drive it with them and you dont want them to drive it?

How they suppose to fix it then.

You think she will say "ok we take your word for it, heres your money back"

i have no problem with them driving it or me taking a drive with them either , which won't make a difference anyways, cause i don't know myself how to duplicate the problem, i'm just get upset to know i paid 70k (50k outa pocket) so a car thats just been trouble to my life. I think you would feel the same way as well.

That loaner looks like someone's car. Why does it have a roof rack and blacked out grills?

lol, but i was thinking more of why is there 50 loaners... (maybe a couple of them are from older loaners, that have been sold since, but it should not be that hard to transfer plates especially for a dealer)

^ Hassle is one of the biggest BMW dealers in the NYC area 80% of the newer beamers I see around NY have Hassle plate frames. I would'nt be surprised if they had 50 loaners, I mean look at this thread. My gf lives 5 mins from the service department for Hassle see these loaners all the time. Tech's don't treat them too nice.

Hope the bastard driving your's treats it nice, GL with this whole mess.

Cool. I don't know why, but I've always loved that BMW blue. My brother has a 530i in that color and it's one of the best colors that BMW offers IMO....

And I hope everything works out for you. I would be just as paranoid as you are if I owned an M3 and all this crap was happening....

I'm surprised no1 said not to try another dealer but good luck in getting it taken care of. A LOT of NY'ers dislike Hassel's service department.

Right now i cant really do anything ,because the car is there and the car is staying there for now.Lets just wait and see what BMWNA says, if they say that Hassel BMW still can't see anything wrong with the car , like they said on the 1st time i brought it in for this same incident, but yet it happened again.Ill den try to either get a buyback because i really don't want to drive a car thats a potential death trap, and if they refuse that then ill suggest letting them send it over BMW Manhattan, because i'm not driving there.
