Woo! That's awesome. If they give you any ruckus for wanting to take off the parts you put on (except for the floor mats and stuff like that), I'd just go along with it. Can't really beat a new car.

Yea I know , I still kept all the oem parts , so I dont think they would have any issues with it
i really wanted a m3 before i got my tl i was looking for get the 95-97 body m3. i probably still would of loved it. i have already had to make some repairs to my car only owning it for three months water leaked into the headlight cause they didnt put the low beam and high beam seals so when it flooded water seeak into it and blew the ballast out. now im heard my drive shock or something go bad and creakes badly while steering and while the car goes up and down
"...BMW's are great cars!...not this muddaf***a"

That car is absolutely amazing, very happy that you have found resolution. One way or another...they found the problem...and will fix it, OR you will get another car. No downside there.

lol they gave me a 328i last week , so I guess ill be stuck with it until I get my new car, but I did see a new 7 series loaner, maybe ill ask to trade in this for that , but that might just be pushing my luck a bit

Whatever happens tho, I can honestly say i'm happy with how things turned out.
Really glad it worked out for you, Dave. That really must have been a relief.
I also liked that you did not lose sight of the fact that BMW stepped up and did the right thing.
There's never a multi-forum crosspost extravaganza for that ... Just when someone gets screwed.
BMW and the dealer deserve a lot of credit ... And you stayed pretty composed the whole time.

Yea carbon fiber roofs look best on white cars , thats why i didn't have a sunroof on my car, it would be cool if you could have both, but thats not a option as of yet.
Thanks bro, I'm so happy that all my money didn't go to waste, all i'm losing is my tints =(, but I have to call them back since I have a few aftermarket parts on the car that I would like back( ZCP CF spoiler , ZCP CF splitters , rubber floor mats, rubber trunk mat, black front grill, black side grill and black hood vents) , I think ill let them keep my seat covers, I hated those things for staining my seats.

I just came back from the dealer and they are going to order me a new car , just with the mineral white instead of alpine white and the extended leather. They also gave some good news , since ill have to wait about 2 months for the new car, they said I can drive my old car until the new one arrives(after they fix everything next week). =D
Thats some great news! I have a few questions though...Did they tell you exactly what was it that broke? What could have caused it? Why did something so critical break on a 70k car with a few thousand miles?
That new color is nice! GL with everything bro! I wouldn't have taken that car back either, good call

I've never heard of someone getting a new car out of a result of a defect. That's just incredible! I'm glad things worked out for you. That goes to show you that nothing is impossible.

Thats not the only reason i'm getting the new car, since I owned this car for 6 months now , its been to the dealer for over 45 days out of the 6 months , I had no navigation for over 2 months( just drove around with a black screen , no radio or ipod), steering locking up could of killed me ,and a list of other things , so they basically had no choice , if I had took a lawyer for this issue , they would of ended up losing much more, so I think a new car is fair, they are lucky that no one got hurt , or they would of lost millions.

Got it. So what are the conditions? Do you start a new note (provided you financed) and they are taking your old car as a trade or will they be configuring a deal to keep your current payment and term as if the new car was never part of the equation? Or are they going to buy back the old M3, not make it part of the deal and start new payments (again, provided you financed)?
