Great news. I blew the engine.

I mean its running but compression on two cylinders 5 and 6 is low. They are on the way. I have. Spare engine that im gonna swap and im gonna sell the car. I set the stone. I have enough of this bs. Its gonna take me a bit but all the aftermarket parts will be for sale.

Im not sure what im gonna get but right now im looking for a beater. Probably 3g tls or 8g accord 6-6 will replace cl

Thank you.

Sorry to hear, good luck with your next choice.

The Accord 6 sounds interesting. That has a 3.5 motor in it?

Accord v6 6speed runs high 13's. Stock. So it is faster than cl. With few bolt ones it will easily put me where i was with low boost. Just missing lsd and that throttle body.

1/4 mile times aren't everything. I would never buy a fwd without LSD. If you have to put in other engine to sell anyway, why not just put it in and just not run the blower. If you do run it keep it at 3psi. Seems to me like s/c plus lack of tuning is causing this to happen a lot.

Good luck

I'm not a fan either. When I drove my sisters '11 Accord EX-L sedan it did not feel as responsive; then again, it only had the four cylinder engine. Everything is going that way though; so, regretably, it's going to catch up to me in my next car purchase.

Street, pick the best 'tunable platform' so that aspect of upgrading performance will complement your increased driving demands in relation to engine performance.

Can the AV6-6 accomadate a tune better than the CL?

thanks. i will drive it till i find the car i really want it will be hard really... to find the replacement. i ran 3psi and for some reason it was too rich and caused the piston rings to run dry with no oil. i wanted to move on new car before and i decided not too really i feel like its time... car took a good amount of beating and i replaced practicly everything i could to keep it in best shape its something here something there... i will get married soon and i do not want to spent that much time fixing my car

either one is hard but there was few cars that run 3.2 with SC and FIC...
i dont want boost anymore not without tune i love the sc whine but it takes too much consequences with it... ESM IS BIGGEST CRAP you can imagine this is BS

SC needs to be rebuild and i dont want to dump more money into it... i wanna sell it the way it is and im willing to take a loss and sell it for a low price...

Fucking If you're going through the trouble of swapping the new motor in, why not just drive it like that? You already have the new motor. A weekend and a few cases of beer, and you wont need to buy a new car.

Fuck that. Everything these days is heavy as hell and has DBW. Im buying used.

Nope, the 8th gen ecus are more intrusive then ours. If you really wanted to, you could possibly get the EMS or Haltech to run on it, but youd have to ditch the DBW. Not worth it IMO for a car that weighs as much as it does, doesnt have an LSD (with no option for one either), and has horrible blind spots. Not to mention the seats are very uncomfortable, especially compared to the CL seats.

Street - if you're dead set on getting rid of the CL, do as the guys above mentioned. Get a chassis that isnt comparable to the CL, get one that is better and can handle modifications. A 3500lb FWD car isnt the answer IMO.

You asked me about the GTO earlier. I like them; 400hp, RWD, independent rear suspension, 6MT, good gas mileage (comparably speaking). It is heavy though - 3700lbs. Its also not the best looking car on the road. It can make good power, but without going widebody, tubbing the rear, or a Mexiflush fitment, you cant run a very wide tire. The rear wheel wells are pretty narrow. Stick to the '05-06 models. The 5.7l in the '04 sucks.

And back to the CL with the s/c'r - the biggest problem is finding someone who knows how to set it up and tune it. The J may have been around since the mid 90s, but only within the past 5 years or so has the aftermarket taken notice.

If you absolutely dont want to run the eManage or FIC, get the EMS. We know it works and it gives you control over everything.

I will swap it probably in the next few weeks and see my brother is going to europe so i will be driving his car in the meantime(i promised him that i will change his timing belt and engine mount lol) i'd love to get a new car but there is really nothing out there on the market in my price range.

I need to rebuild old tranny right now thats what is holding me back.

My life story, Streetka, keep the headers, free flowing cat, and CAI, you'll still like the car. The CL was the last of it's breed before everything got less mechanical and more digital. I fell in love with my car when I removed the blower, just because of the growl and smoothness of it all.

rear header clearance

crank timing pulley

camshaft pulleys

also front head is different, to fit 6mt plate with sensors on auto head you need to shave/grind off some head off to fit it

i will try make a diy after im done with everything but those are the differences i could notice during the swap... engine is ready to go back but im still waiting for the tranny

So what are you doing exactly now? I'm sorry about all the bad stuff happening to you. No one has been successful using a fic with tuning? It's making me second guess about using mine now.

I never got around to tune it. Im swaping an auto engine into my 6mt once i get my tranny back from rebuild it should take me up to two days to be back on road i kinda miss it, i drive my brothers volvo s60 which is slow as hell compared to cl. Funny thing is that i got better gas milage with my cl lol.

Plan for today is to remove the tranny from old engine and swap the clutch into the new one and install the intake and exhaust manifold. I think im gonna keep it simple now with bolt ons only for now.

Supercharger is for sale im gonna open a thread on the BM. $1300 but it needs to be rebuild.

You didn't have ton shave anything from the plate, just use the 6 speed engine plate as a replacement. Call me, I want to tell yoiu one more thing.

Thats what i did. Both plates are the same the difference is that 6speed cam sensors are bigger and auto head is a bit different than 6speed and the way it sits 6speed cam plate with its sensors wont fit without triming. I call you later.

What did your tranny rebuild consist of?

New Differential/bearings, seals, gears etc.

Thanks.
