Congrats! I guess this is another reason I haven't installed many of my parts besides just be a lazy ass! Bone stock the car is still a blast to drive! Doing incremental upgrades lets you enjoy them. Anyhow glad to hear you'll be back in the road. FPR should be a breeze given the circumstances!

I need picture really quick of how fuel lines connects to the stock fuel pressure regulator by the firewall. I need to see how the washers are positioned.

P0300, P0303, P0304, P1399

i had fuel leak today and i had to make a temporary washers to seal it i just hope thats what it is now because they may block some fuel going through

BTW those are exact same codes i had before engine swap - interesting right ?

other than that car is running fine... i think im still leaking some coolant on one of the hoses but i will look at that tomorrow

there is a difference between a coolant lines from 6MT and 5AT also i had to close some of the fittings (or bypass it but its good for now)

That is a bit strange. The engine harness for all the electric connections to the new auto engine is still from the original six speed engine, correct?

everything is original 6speed except for the engine i swaped out everything... so there is new EGR valve runners and IM(cleaned) new coilpacks and spark plugs.

today when i put everything back together after compression test i started the engine and it was misfiring and what i found was the plug for the coilpack on the cylinder #1 didnt sit right i moved it and it went back to normal kinda weird but i took electric contact cleaner and sprayed all the connectors... i will see tomorrow if that made any difference

lol, I'm sure you have probably been over EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb by now.

The only thing I was going to suggest; however, I'm not sure if it would help your misfire issues, was to check the wire harness modifications that were done for the S/C'er install at the MAP/TP sensors and IACV plugs, for kinks, pinches, cuts etc. I remember you said at one point that you found wires at the ECU/ECM loose and had them fixed, so it maybe worth a recheck, if you had not already done so now that the blower is history.

In addition, in regards to the 'plug for the coilpack', check to see that the embeded female ends have all of the metal contact sleeves present. Maybe one has broken off and has fallen out, thus not allowing full contact with the male side on the coilpack, IIRC. Also good to check those wires for kinks, pinches and cuts as well.

My guess is something is up with the wire harness because that is the only thing you have not replaced.

Hate to see you go through all that work and still have to deal with those pesky codes, lol.

I loled when read the codes i was like wtf this is not happening again, is it ? And i decided to start with compression test and all of the cylinders were around 125-130psi

i realized that the only thing left on the car that has something to do with old engine is injectors so i ordered set of these and hopefully will pick them up tomorrow or thursday... seriously WTF i cant believe that im still fighting this issue... i think the 3.5 plans are on hold i need to really think about what i want to do...

Am I missing something here or did you miss type your psi #'s ?

there is two ways (that i know of) to check the compression on each of the cylinders

1. remove all the spark plugs, screw in the gauge and crank it for only one resolution (one spike) and stop repeat it 3-5 times on each of the cylinders. anything below 115-120 psi is too low

2. remove one spark plug at the time and screw the gauge in and crank it for 5 seconds on each of the cylinders

i believe that the first one is more accurate and this is what i learn actually from Paul

when you find out that the one of cylinders is down on the numbers you can check simply if its a piston ring or valve or HG by adding a bit of oil lets say 10ml to that cylinder and repeat the test. if the pressure goes back to where its supposed to be that means you have a bad piston ring if its not then its a valve or hg

Bad news. I gave up fighting with this car and droped of the car to Jae. Car ran bad today and alot of weird stuff is happening like the coilpack plugs poping out by itself out of nowhere... I drove the car to his shop and i thought that im not gonna make it. All i know as of now thats its not coils or spark plugs or either injectors... Im prepared for worse which is... Idk... lol

Some people confuse the timming marks on the pulleys too.
Some think the thicker marks that that are used to see threw the peak hole are the one's you use but,the thin ones on the teeth themselfs are the marks you use.
Or if you dont bring all timing belt slack all the way to the tensioner the after some rotations it will change timming as well.

Glad to hear it up again.
You have been taking me on a rollor coaster ride if your going to stay here or dump the car.
I can only imagine your stress level over the last couple months.

I need new brakes. Im broke in between EBC ultimax with ebc redstuff pads and stoptech kit from xlr8 website. I think stoptech is better but what do u guys think ?

On the side note my transmission is leaking oil from the bottom case seal according to Jae. I will take care of that this week.
