TV provider: DIsh or DirectTv

I'm torn between the two. My wife's parents and my parents both have DirectTV. We both grew up around DirectTV, I know all the channels never had a problem etc etc.

Do any of you guys have Dish network out there, I can get an amazing deal for phone, internet, and Satellite for like 85 bucks a month, I tried to get AT&T but they don't cover Elk Grove (Lame).

So give me your guys' comments on Dish Network.

Thanks

Kevin

1 Year:

DirectTV: 96.42
DIsh:82.72

After 1st year
DIrectTV: 126.92
Dish: 92.72

Dish is cheaper in the long run, but Direct TV gives you that referral program and the sunday NFL ticket for free

Stay Away from Dish Network!!! I hate mine! Poor reception and it feels like I need to update the channels everytime I turn it on!! If you feel like waiting 2-3 minutes before you start watching TV, then get Dish Network lol. I'm leaving dish soon for comcast though ^^ Getting the triple play for 89.99

Really? Yea the lady at AT&T kept trying to get me to get Comcast. 99 bucks for the triple play but you only get like 80 some channels, I have to look at there channel line up again.

How are you getting it for 89? work discount?

hmmm... I never have problems with my dish network? I live in the foothills and would imagine Id have most trouble getting reception but it works great.

Again the familiarity with it also makes me like it more (gf has direct tv and I hate not knowing channel numbers as well as how slow it is)

Aww, not a work discount, I have lots of comcast employees go through me at the bank and i usually chat with them a bit about work. They usually give me their business cards and tell me they can hook me up with extra receivers and pricing on their packages.

Direct is saying that they may not be able to have some key channels soon. Speed fx and others may not be on direct tv soon. Blows.

Direct has something like onDemand I think. I went with Direct, they are in the process of 2 new market changes they said.

One is where you can just have 1 box in your house and still be able to watch TV in every other room and then another one that they wouldn't tell me about.
