haven't posted much regularly to this thread but live in Folsom (actually bought the acura in AZ) migrated here a while back; have had the car for 7 years this October; falling in love with it more n more everyday; thought about upgrading to a different car but cannot find a reason over the tl; So I am thinking maybe if get a nicer sounding car (louder) it may change it up for me a bit; From my research it seems I want to go the gReddy way (loud); Don't really want to do anything myself; Any good recommendations for a shop around FOlsom and where do you think I should pruchase it from??

Hey guys and gals, I need a little help here. I need to have my front compliance bushings replaced then alignment because my front tires are wearing out badly, but only on the inside closet to the wheel wells. So, I need a recommendation for a mechanic in Sac/Elk Grove for this. The dealer wants an arm and a leg for this.

Anybody have any recommendation for wheel repair? I got a couple small bends I want to get fixed.

 

GuLuMoNeY, I took you up on ur recommendation; Blake seemed to be a decent fella; so his recommendation was to go with a custom exhaust made at his shop vs. buying a ready made one from XLR8 or Tsudo or gReddy (the last being the one I really would have loved to have!!). I showed him this youtube video as this is what I want - He recommends using a 3" pipe (I need to confirm material on the pipe) crush bent in his shop with magnaflow mufflers that will look and sound similar to the gReddy - all installed for $575!! (He said he'd let me try out the system without resonator) and if it's too loud then he'll place the res no charge; Also he showed me some options for drone that he could do at an additional cost ($70); If you dipsHiets would care to comment I'd appreciate your time!!

I'm glad he gave you options. He's done a lot of good custom quality work. Lot of race car/track car systems. So How much is the greedy system you want? Was he able to quote on that? Is it a big price jump? My advice. Go by ur gut instinct. In all honest opinion I'm not too fond of the exhaust sound in that video. But that's just be me and my passed 6years of being a muscle car guy and liking a deeper growl. As long as your happy in the end and he takes care of you I'm happy for ya. If my RL doesn't sell ill most likely get my exhaust Done from him and get my rims.

 

nah..dawg, that's the probs...he just kept saying that with the gReddy it's just the brand name....I don't know if that's really the case...I mean I am pretty sure Greddy would be mandrel bent, t304 SS pipes. I am a fan of a DEEP sound as well & I thought that video was pretty DEEP but again....y does this shi...et have to be so hard!!..only if I had a crystal ball!!

Hey guys, sorry to intrude on this subject, but where in this area can a modded car get smogged without any emphasis on visual?

I had a shop tell me that they can't test my car because of intake and exhaust mods. It's got both stock primary cats, which should be enough for emissions.

Long story short, my car is registered out of state, but because of my job here I need a CA smog inspection..

hey guys, been trying to sell my oem replicas rims on
craigslist here in the sac area. Had a few responses

but mostly talk/tradeSo I posted on the black market
forum with no replies. I kinda think that forum is more
benifical to the east cost crowd east of the missisippi.

I wish they had a black market for the regional forums
which wood be more focus oreinted. Anyways I'm trying
to sell them for 400 with tires and center caps. Paid
500 for them a little over 2 months ago for just rims.
