Have any of u guys use the Seafoam Trans Tune b4? My tranny fluid is gettin dark so I need a tranny fluid change soon. It says it can also clean the power steering unit. Or should I just do the 3x3 on my tranny?
I think Tom says not to use the trans seafoam. I've seen it before and wondered about it too but the 3x3 is the tried and true method.

Thanks man but for the price I think he got it for I should have tried. Yeah I like the lipless look still.
So I'm looking for locking lug nuts, do you guys have any suggestions? I been searching and couldn't find much as far as which ones work best.

has anyone been to the firestone on Orchard Loop in elk grove? apparently they have an in-ground alignment rack, so i will be utilizing my lifetime alignment there this saturday. any feedback on this location appreciated =]
^ I've been there I used to take the TL there. Gary AKA Aznboi2424 goes there as well. I used to have one specific guy that worked on my car but he went to another place to work. Just watch them o and make an appointment, unless you want to wait for like 4-5 hours they're always busy
okay I made an apointment for this weekend. thanks for the feedback so I'll post up my experience afterwards. just installed my spc camber kit last night and dropped the front some more. I'll get pics up after alignment
i just got back from my alignment in Elk Grove at Firestone. I have to say that I am very pleased with the service I got today and highly recommend anyone with a lifetime alignment to go here (especially if you're lowered). Luis was my technician and he corrected the toe to factory settings and let me give him custom camber specs.
I did not know what camber I was running before, but Luis called me and told me what it was at, and asked what I wanted to change it to. Overall it took an hour and a half which is average I guess. And best of all, I didnt pay a cent. The only complaint I have is that the steering wheel is (very slightly) off center to the left in order to go completely straight, but before the alignment it was off center as well so I am used to it already. not a big deal. as long as my toe is good and im not rubbing my tires anymore, i am a happy camper
pics are on the way. i'm happy with the way it looks and won't be adjusting anything for awhile

I have no complaints about that Firestone. But don't bother making an appointment. I had one and I still had to wait for them to start because they were working on the car ahead of me.
BTW, what are you doing up here anyways?

correct. i appear to have moved aorund a lot but heres the story.
i grew up in sac (carmichael area)
went to ucsd for 4 years and graduated june 2011.
came back to sac and began looking for work but the job market is tough everywhere it seems like, so the only job i was able to get was in the bay.
i still frequent between cupertino and sac regularly on weekends to hang out with friends and family. i dont really know a lot of people in cupertino yet besides ppl i work with, so it makes for a boring weekend if i stay out there. 2 hour drive isnt that bad
so after all that, whens the first meet of 2012?

And I know Mike and Sway have seen my posts before, but to all those SACRAMENTO peeps, HELLO! My formal intro is here (https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/my-formal-introduction-my-new-stance-kicks-840299/) but would still like to check in and say whats up!
TODAY, in like 10 minutes, I am beginning my TSX Projector retrofit! Any question, comments, suggestion would be appreciated. Along with blacking out the housing! Cant wait! Will have TONSSS of pics of the whole process and depending how legit I get it to come out I'll post a DIY.
And Sway I do agree with you that I like the NON LIP look on our LOWERED TL's. I would go for an OEM lip kit but after restoration and paint itll be upwards of 600~ hoping I get a GOOD deal. I dont happen to work at a body shop like Mike haha.
And question to you guys. I do ALL work on my car myself except for the tranny replacement lol. But I am over due for my 120K Service. On friday I ordered EVERYTHING,
1. Timing Belt
2. A/C Belt
3. P/S Belt
4. Auto Adjuster (Tensioner)
5. Timing Adjuster (Tensioner Pulley)
6. Left side Motor Mount
7. Timing Belt Idler Pulley
8. Water Pump
9. A/C Belt Tensioner Assembly
10. And BLACK Honda Wheel Locks FTW
But I am looking to get ALL those parts changed along with Value Adjustment. Two fellow TL (0ne 2g and one 3G) recommended OZMOTIVE off of Bradshaw and Folsom for labor and vouched for his good work. I dropped by his place last week and he quoted me $300 for Labor and $200 for valve adjustment. My question to you ALL IN SACRAMENTO, have any of you been to OZMotive? Ozie is the owner of the shop and this guy, at least sounds like, he knows what he's talking about. The fact that two TL owners referred me there makes me feel better about it. But $500 for labor and valves did not seem like a bad deal to me, but what do you guys think?
This, other than the Tranny of course, is the only job I DO NOT wish to do. For the simple fact that I do not have experience with the timing gears and do not wish to get my timing off.
Do you guys know any other reputable mechanics in Sac area for this service for the same price or cheaper? Or are any of you interested in doing the same service? He made it seem like he would cut a deal on all cars if I brought 2 or 3 cars to him for service. Parts should be here Friday and I want to do this service along with change coolant and tranny fluid before I go back to school on the last week of January.
OHHHHHH and on a side note, any of you Sac peeps, if youre ever looking for ANYYYYY USED OEM part, big or small. From a fastener, push tab, or 10mm nut or bolt to A WHOLE Engine, exhaust or suspension PM ME!! ANY OEM PART PM ME FIRST! I have access to a PLETHORA of OEM used parts. Got my TSX Projectors for $40!! FTW!
Other than that look forward to meeting you all and HAPPY 2012!
