I was just on the phone with a customer talking about Hybrid's and he mentioned something about honda tossing around the idea of a Hybrid powered NSX..... ever heard of such a thing?

On the topic of Hybrids
He [the customer] has a Highlander Hybrid and he mentioned that it has three motors. one gas (208hp/212tq) and two electric motors. One in the front (165hp/247tq.) and one in the rear (67hp/96tq) making it a "4wd" that basically gets the same MPG in 4wd mode as 2wd mode. Also because of the placement of motors there's no rear drive shaft; technically making the truck a FF Hybrid and a RR electric. Cool huh?

Haven't heard from Jeff (Allout) for a little while...

As to the Hybrid powered replacement for the NSX... Honda has been tossing a lot of different ideas around... besides a bunch of rumors flying. What I've heard is that Honda has looked at FWD, RWD and AWD running a bigger V6 or a V8 or a V10, even a hybrid in the front or midship. It's anyone's guess right now what the final design will be.

But I'm hoping it will be at least a 4.5 - 5.0L V10 mid engine configuration.

 

I talked to him last night... He will be at next Bay Area meet.

 

cleaned up the rear end.... still waiting for intergrated signals/tail light kit...

just wanted to say, its a fucking beautiful day in davis and im stuck here in a computer lab with NO WINDOWS hope everyone is enjoying themselves.

Ummm...yea I'm new here...just signed up yesterday (been busy posting alot of ?? on how to mod my ride, that's why I have like omgosh 3600 posts) and I was um digging around through them threads and came across this one. After spending about 2 days and 3 hours reading all 230 pages, I think you guys is so cool!!! I noticed how so many of you guys are from the Bay Area, fo snizzle my dizzle, and I'm like from um San Jose, which is like um so close to all you um people. So these meets, is a n00bie like me invited, can I come and bring a ride full of them azns too? Cause I thinks me and my friendz would be so into this stuff and would um like to meet all of you in person!
