Getting Tint done need help

So i have a 2004 acura tl sage brush pearl and was wondering what tint I should get on the car. I don't want to go to dark but I was thinking 35% on all rear then 45% on the front. And if you guys know any good tint shops in the MA NH area.

Whatever you get, make sure they do the rear quarter windows correctly.
Good Luck

Man thats like clear almost. But I agree on that small window. Make sure they pick up the trim and put the tint in there or you will have a gap.

can you clarify this?

also is it possible to leave the anti theft oem decals on the windows still on the car after its been tinted.. basically tint over them or will that cause bubbles?

to the thread starter - are you getting moleskin done? i didnt realize they had 45% tint...

Almost forgot about the moleskin. Very important: Google TintProtector (AZ vendor)
On the rear quarter window. The tint needs to extend all the way to the back of the window glass. If you look closely, there is a trim piece which extends out beyond the edge of the glass inside the car. Many tint shops treat this as the final line of the glass and stop the tint there. When you look at it from the outside, there is a visible gap like this:

(Thanks to RyanAM for a pic of his car!)

If you look at my tint, there is no gap:

Tell the guy exactly what you want and make him do it right. It can be done, no matter what he says. My guy fed me some shit about that area collecting dirt. I showed him exactly how I wanted it and he did a great job.
As for the decals, have them removed. They will look like shit sitting over top of the tint anyway.

Good explanation dwb. It takes them a little extra effort to pull it up and get it under there but they can do it.

Thanks for the help guys i got a quote from the tint shop saying 190 for all windows but an etra 80 cost for putting on felt because apparently tls don't come with them I was wondering if i actually do need to put the felt in. I feel as though I don't the reason for adding the felt was because the tint will get scratched if not. any thoughts on this also DWB what percent tint did you do on the windows becuase that is exactly how I want the car to look. Thanks again guys

My guy was extremely professional and said I didn't need felt or moleskin. I emailed him back after reading more up on the subject, and he said if it ever gets scratched, he'll redo it for me.

Knock on wood, no scratches whatsoever

So see if you can talk him into agreeing with that. Definitely beats having to take off the door panels if they don't need it.

For the felt---you do not have to remove the panels to install it. Tintprotector will send you instructions to do it both ways. I highly recommend the felt, for peace of mind if nothing else. I have had a few glue streaks from it, but no scratches whatsoever. You can DIY the felt---eff paying $80 for it.
My tint is 35% all around. Check your local laws on what is legal...tintcenter.com.

Remember that ANY tint on the front side windows is illegal in NH. 35% is the limit for the rear and back side windows. That being said, I had 35% on all sides and rear and it wasn't too dark under any circumstance. And I never got pulled over for it.

If you're going through the hassle of getting tint, at LEAST get 35% all around.

I assume it was the wiper on the inside of the top of the door. That is where the moleskin is supposed to go! I had mine tinted 4%, and no moleskin.........mistake, because they got scratched within a few weeks. Do it first, if possible.

I just tinted my NBP with 43% in the fronts and 5% in the backs. I think the back is a little too dark for my comfort, but what's done is done! The guy charged $180 with the felt. The car looks good though. 43% is the legal limit in Utah.
