Looking at the close-up picture from the F1 site, http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...=1#post9900174, I know why you think they look weird. They have the "Honda ricer" (big wheels with tiny brakes) effect.

I could see that happening, being signed by one of THE most prestigious teams in F1.
I was pretty indifferent when it was announced that he got the seat. Wasn't a big fan of him during the season. However, I actually did feel a tiny bit bad for him when he was cut. I'm okay with it though - K-Mag strikes me as an equally hungry driver, but at least is humble.

I agree Mugen. Perez is a good driver just highly inconsistent.

Didn't know Perez was such a d***head at McLaren. Woulda thought that given such a opportunity he'd try to fit in.
Remember when Button came to McLaren and many outsiders thought he'd have a hard time fitting into the team with Hamilton there and he had a old reputation as lacking work ethic. Just the opposite occurred, he got along very well with Hamilton and from I've read is well liked within McLaren.

best thing about Jense, he's a NICE guy-always it seems. When driver's personalities change as they become more successful (read: JV) I loathe them and wish them nothing but th worst of luck no matter who they are driving for.

Good to see Williams again on the podium, Pat Symonds and the rest of the engineers have produced the 2nd best MB powerplant chassis.

No worries, I'd looked at the results already etc. Things are not spoiled at all.
I guess what I wrote makes it sound like the surprise was ruined or whatever. I just meant that the images make it look like it was a crazy crash/incident. Glad he walked away ok. He's had some serious shunts the last few years.

Raikkonen sandwich. They were lucky that all three managed to continue since all three cars touched.

I'm not a huge fan of Hamilton, but I can't help but feel bad for the guy.
Of course, he's got ability and the car (assuming there are no gremlins tomorrow) to bring him back to the front of the pack. He proved it last week, and can pull it off again.
Rosberg getting a DNF tomorrow would be a welcomed sight among some people.

and then there's that not paying their drivers' salaries/employees thing Lotus has going on too. Maldonado must be desperate to stay in F1 because he already signed another contract. If Grosjean gets a palpable offer from a team that can give him a lateral move even, he should take it.

Qual: Gotta feel a little sorry for Hamilton with all the car failures he's had despite all the mindgame BS he's been doing this season with Rosberg.

Someone help me out here - how does Team Mercedes justify telling Hamilton to let Rosberg pass him? They were running 3rd and 4th, right? So does having them switch places increase the amount of team points earned? I could see if Hamilton wasn't in the Driver's Championship points race, but he's in second. One or the other of them is going to win the Driver's title, so how can the team be choosing a favorite at this point?

The last couple races have spawned some pretty great battles. I though Montreal was the best so far.
Is Grosjean's Lotus contract up at the end of this season?
I wouldn't mind seeing Grosjean with McLaren in the future. He seems to have matured quite a bit. Perhaps after Button retires? I'd like to see at least one more year out of him.
Speaking of McLaren...how 'bout that botched tire strategy? Pity for Button...

I think it had to do with their different tire strategies. Rosberg was behind Hamilton, yes, but he had to come in for one more pit stop, while Hamilton was good til the end of the race. So technically, they weren't racing each other.

Yeah Mugen, Grosjean contract is up at the end of the year, and Lotus has been trying to resign him....Guess we'll see towards the end of the season what will happen.
McLaren wasted a good start to the race with Button on that poor strategy call yesterday!

MBZ was looking at Rosberg's strategy and thought he had the ability to WIN rather than give Lew podium, albeit 2nd or 3rd, which arguably, Rosberg would've won and was why he was so pissed at the end of the race.

I think the bigger issue is the missed strategy by Mercedes, Williams, Red Bull at the first full course caution. When Ericsson crashed and created the first full course caution, why did Mercedes, Williams, and Red Bull keep Rosberg, Bottas, and Vettel out of pit. This was where those three drivers lost out on the win. Instead, Ricciardo was the biggest beneficiary of that decision. To me, it appears that this was because the accident happened after those three cars already passed the pit entrance, but before Ricciardo and the rest of the field passed the entrance. Unfortunately, the idiots in the NBC booth didn't bother to analyze what happened.

Although controversial, Lewis did the right thing.
He's battling Rosberg for the championship so asking Rosberg to pass was asking him to loss more points to his rival.
Lauda also agreed.

I saw that too Legend and agree. It's really amazing how the MBZ drivers seem to only be pissed at each other race after race. I think that's a result of feeling entitled to win each and every race. Its not a new phenomenon as F1 drivers are the most selfish bastards on the planet and always have been.

I was cheering when Riccardo passed Hamilton, but I was also furious. Why didn't Hamilton hit the damn wall harder in the opening lap? Why didn't his car blow up on race day instead of qualifying day? Why didn't Alonso's car break and send a spring to Hamilton's helmet and take him out of the rest of the season like Massa in 2009? He fucking pushed Rosberg wide in turn 3 in the last lap, same thing he did in Bahrain.
