Lucky guy, I've been to Nice and Monaco but in November (business trip to Sophia-Antipolis).
The drive from Nice (beautiful town, both old and new) to Monaco along the coast is amazing.
I drove the majority of the course in my rental Renault, amazing they average ~100MPH on those streets.

Highly recommend visiting Nice, great place to visit and pretty close to Nice. I would skip Antibes and Cannes, both are OK but not much to see there.

Yeah, if we go we'll go with a tour group. We've been on tours with Grand Prix Tours which was easy and well put together. That's where they go. I wanna blow the $$$ to go to the race on a balcony hospitality spot somewhere , not on a hotel room in Monaco so staying out of town and trying to save a little bit to offset race expenses is right in line with my thinking.

Considering the gap between them through most of the race, I think Hamilton would've had the win if he had pole. He needs to stop pouting about it though.

If a former F1 driver and scads of scrutineers all poured over the data from Nico's run and determined he did not do it on purpose, that's good enough for me. And just because Hamilton was up .2 at the first sector, that doesn't necessarily guarantee he would've been on pole. Speaking about fake: I don't think Hamilton had any dirt in his FN eye either, his tires were going off, he couldn't catch Nico and he needed an excuse.

I agree, and from the tone of Toto Wolf's statements about the incident I think MB thought so also. Coulthard also thought so also. I think it's difficult to look at the data to determine if it was deliberate or not, the most important missing telemetry is the driver's thoughts.

I'm thinking the same thing. How rare does that happen? If it happened, I doubt that it was still an issue when Ricciardo was chasing him down.

Unbelievably run of bad luck for Vettel. ERS fail during qualifying. Gearbox and turbo fail during the race. Not to mention the gearbox problem in qualifying at Jerez last race. Doesn't help my pick this week.

Good job by Marussia to score its first ever points.

I can believe the dirt in his eye thing. He dropped off drastically when that happened, going from consistent 0.5-1.5 second gaps through the majority of the race to 4, 5 seconds off Rosberg in about two laps. I don't think tires would drop off that quickly.

Before Ted Kravitz left for the weekend (family reasons), he said he talked to a few team principals & engineers (not identified) and they thought it was deliberate.

Watching the comparison of the video of the pole lap and the fuck up lap side by side (sky coverage) is telling IMO. I'm with Herbert, his steering input/car placement didn't make sense when he had to bail down the side road. And why would he reverse back towards the track, knowing cars were behind him on laps still.

I'm not a fan of bad sportsmanship, especially when exhibited at the Monaco GP. I saw an article that said both Hamilton and Rosberg on their final hot lap braked 8 meters later than usual at the run-down to Mirabeau-the former made it stick, the latter, obviously did not. Throttle traces, brake traces, steering inputs were looked at too and deemed not to be out of the ordinary. I can only guess he tried reversing out of the escape road to avoid being clobbered by any one as he had to keep the car running or else it would overheat and draw a grid penalty if left on the track.

Tell us what you think of the turbo'd V6s in person. My buddy came back from Monaco and he said he liked it. Said yes, they sound different, yes they don't have the V8 sound. But, he liked the sounds of the turbos, and they are definitely not "quiet" by any means.

Hell of a race. Wish Massa made podium and Hamilton was still in it, but the last few laps were very exciting.

As a McLaren fan, I didn't want to see Force India get a podium (sad as that is to say...) But I did want to see Massa get up there. Too bad for both Massa and Perez.

Glad to see Ricciardo get his first win.

Was hoping for a Williams podium, shame Bottas had troubles but at least he kept it in the points, watched the last lap incident almost 10 times & couldn't quite tell who was at fault. Looks like they both swerved a bit.

To me, it looked like Perez moved left first, but almost immediately, Massa was moving right.
Glad both are ok, looked like a hard hit on both.
