That's going to be a really tough job to get it in that little car. I don't think it will fit

Is this something you bought, or looking for the near future? I'd welcome a clutch job at someone elses house. My buddy Luke and his friend Brian replace clutches in their F-Bodies in a matter or hours (I wasn't wathcing, but it didn't seem like it was a chore, just a routine job for them). Could always ask them for some supervision if it came down to it.

Well it is a bit of an ordeal. The reason I need to do it is because mine is about a month away from dead... and now slips on launches (at autocrosses) rather than making the rear wheels spin. It also engages in about the last inch of clutch travel.
Its a real pain to put in, because it is hard to get at the bolts above the tranny up in the tunnel. You either have to lower the cradel a few inches which lowers the engine and tranny together, or take out the front and rear motor mounts and rock the engine towards the firewall which tilts the tranny down so you can get them. Other than that, its pretty much a standard procedure.
Again Jorge, if you're up for a job like this, it should be a single day thing with a few people and your wide array of tools. I will gladely supply plenty of cookout food for all, and even throw you some compensation towards garage time/tool use if needed. To have this done would cost about $700-800 in labor alone at a reputable shop.
On the flip side, I realize I am asking a huge favor, so if it is just too much of a PITA, I understand completely.

If i were to get a new head unit, like a flip out with dvd and extras, do you guys know how to install it?
andwould it be possible to set it up to run GPS functions through it? so i could hide the GPS itself, and then have the screen come out when i needed it?

Even with NAV, your looking at a 9-pin serial plug and an antenna at the worst. More than likely you're just looking at wiring an addition antenna.
So short answer - yes - we can do it. It is literally like a 45 minute job to install a radio, but running all of the wires for amp/NAV/anything else extra make take an hour or so on top of that.
You have to get some instructions. We should get toknow what we are getting in to. Can't guanrantee anything.

I have plenty of instructions, and a full service manual. I've also done clutches 4 other times on other cars... but all FWD. Like I said, nothing is overly hard, just time consuming.

Called Luther Brookdale Honda just to see what the bill would be to have them do my clutch... $1550.00
The sad part is I expect this next clutch to last probably about 2 years haha. Times like this I miss my old prelude

Hey what year TL do you have? have you call other dealers?
I'm neck and neck with a guy for the season win, so I figured it is only going to get worse so I better fix it.
I picked up a used flywheel to resurface ahead of time, and $450 worth of clutch, pressure plate, various bearings and spare bolts from hondaautomotiveparts.com. I don't think it will be here in time for this weekend, but maybe we can plan on the next?
I've read thru the procedure several times so far so hopefully it goes quickly.
Like I said, if your up for hosting this, I really really appreciate it and will bring some killer grillin food of your choice... enough for all!
HAHA well I didnt really know it was so close to done until the day after working on KK's Saab Jet when I was at the Test n Tune and couldnt even launch my car on street tires. 7,000rpm clutch drop... and all I get is a half bog/half slipping clutch that never breaks my tires loose... (and that was on street tires, my race tires will be even worse)

Do they just meet and then roll out to race at a quiet spot, then the cops tell everyone to go home?(or do you have to flee everytime?
) Same routine every weekend? I remember once I was around the area during that time and I saw a huge group of cars driving together...then they dissappeared into some dark warehouse area lol.Do slow people ever drag there? (14 second cars and up
)
i honestly could've taken just about every car that i saw race except for a quick miata.
and everyone is parked, and then once 2 people agree to race, they just pull up to the line, and i guy walks out and counts them down, and they go..
and yeah, they all go to an area, but the cops catch on fairly quickly, so you just gotta move on
