Blackura, the next Auto-x that is going to open up for registration is on August 3rd, so put a reminder on your calendar for July 3rd since that is when it will open for registration. The way they have been going, it will be sold out on that day. It will only cost you $20 for this location, so it's cheap if you don't think about the tires...

Love to see more of the Acuras out there, that way there is someone to finish behind me! Just kidding, but the group we are all in is a bit tough because there is a fully race-prepped BMW leading the class.

I was just wondering if we where going to have another meet like last years one up at Berkley Acura, that was a good time meeting some fellow TL owners. I would like to know a couple of weeks so I can get some things installed before we would have one.

 

I think I speak for all of us on this one - but we would all love to have a meet at Buerkle. I'm fairly new to the group, but I do not believe that us Aziners had anything to do with that meet.

Not usre if someone else set it up, or if it was something that Buerkle does on their own. I believe I have read a while back that someone was going to be asking them to hold a meet, but never heard back the results.

 

I think we should get Jorge to do it since he seems to know all the peeps at the local stealerships.

 

Spiritman and Budda were the orchestrators of the Meet at Buerkley. Dave at Buerkley is teh person you have to speak to. I am sure that he would do it again at least he said he would this year.

 

One of the guys that set up last years meet moved to Kansas I think it was, and the other guy is around last time I talked to him he wanted to see how many people we could get before he set up another one. His name is Spiritman if anybody wants to talk to him.

Last year it was on a Saturday. Just thought it was the best day for most of us. Do you have any weekends off, in July or maybe August?

Hey guys... first off - sold the blazer tonight. So you all can quit harassing me about selling it to you.

Then - I don't think I will make it tomorrow, but maybe - there is another Friday Night of Destruction going on at raceway park.

Otherwise the one I am definately there for is in 2 Fridays from now (6/27) - that one has a school bus figure 8. Those of you that made it last time (josh and dan) - you know what kind of race a school bus figure 8 will bring.

Maybe we will get lucky and see some more jumps. Or beers. Or trailer trash chicks in wife beaters. Its a sight for all.

If anyone thinks they are going to either race - let me know. If I have any opinion in this - I would say lets get a big group of people to goto the one on the 27th. But if anyone is interested in going tomorrow and it's not raining - I may be down for it. They are fun as hell.

Let me check the schedule - but I say the race that has the pop-up trailer races, we should all goto and consider it a meet. Even if it means taking an evening off of work. These things are televised, and are nationally (if not world) famous as they don't happen anywhere else.

 

Oh - Josh... I should have your stuff by Tuesday. Not sure of what your schedule looks like, but as of next week - I work part time with Wednesdays off.

Otherwise we can just meet up next time there is a meet and trade the goods.

Saturday is the classroom training, Sunday is on-track at the St Paul Saints parking lot. Sat goes through 12:30, but I think Sunday is all day. A whole day of roasting my tires!

On another note, I was driving home the other night in the rain and I would have to say that the rain capabilities of my tires are gone. The all-season's are going to have to go when summer ends. Maybe I'll but some good winter tires once it starts snowing...

well i woke up this morning, no damage....went to get a haircut car was i view the entire time. went to work didnt see anything. after about an hour or two i went out to the car to get some cd's to listen to and the see a good amount of the passenger side fender with white paint about 3 or 4 good size dents. i dont have a way to upload any pics right now.

 

i'm guessin this is the time to make flyers. i'll go ahead and stick them on people's windshield everywhere

Razzi seems to know some good spots for bodywork, and the place that did Jorge's engine bay did a pretty nice job. You could have them paint your engine bay a gloss black, as long as you keep it clean it would look pretty pimp. Or you could do a nice contrast color, that would also look pretty sweet!

 

I've got 1 word for all autobody needs.... Certi-fit. Google it.

As for salvage yards, I usually goto John's in Blaine (off 65). Only problem is if you think you're gonna find a row of TL's there... you might be waiting a while. I had a 97 expedition 2 years ago, and I couldn't even get parts for it there.

I've used Certi-fit to fix a few of my vehicles after accidents (when I was paying).

 

naww, it's not totalled(lol) i'm just pissed that it even took place. but i do know that i will have to get the passenger side fender replaced. i park AWAY from everyone, etc. and it still happened! i really thought about the body matched engine bay that it would be a PITA to keep clean.
