^^ You posted the same meet twice

So are you driving same day to C&C? To be there at 8am, that would be one early ass day...

Agreed. You fellas are going to have to get on the road early. I've been thinking about getting a hotel for Friday night and just staying the night to save myself from getting up so early.

Ill decide as the meet gets closer. Might get a hotel room that way I can do a quick detail in the AM and head out to the meet. Otherwise, I have to be on the road by 4AM to get there.

Let me know what you come up with. I'm not definite that I will be available to go yet, but if so...I don't want to make the drive solo (well at least the last 4hrs)

hi guys!!!! been away on international business lately...ya know making million dollar deals and shit.

Whats new with everyone? Me ah not that much but right about now my TL hates me!! Im riding dirty with an expired inspection because I have been grinding my rotor for the past 2 weeks or so. I ordered Slotted rotors and pads from Marcus but I have the pads and just waiting on the rotors now. On top of that my crome amber bulb on my front right turn signal just died on me today.

Car is stupid dirty cuz I got stuck on a median while trying to avoid a lake infront of me the other day. I left her there for 6 hours and walked home 3 blocks thru water up to my knees.

Other than that im alive and my fam is doing well
anyways pics for giggles

This was my rotor almost 2 weeks ago...and yes im not happy about it

My discolored rim from all the rotor grinding (3 days ago)

This is lynnhaven and bridlecreek blvd near my house

Stuck on the median

Damn Eric! I'm glad to see that you are back but it seems like you have been running into some bullshit with the car. That's crazy how you had to roll up on the median to get away from the water. Since when did you put the other set of wheels on? I remember when you had 3 stockies and one of those wheels, but I didn't know you had all 4 on there now.

It flooded like hell here too. The roads were all fucked up and some schools even closed. Of course my school didn't cancel. Bastards.

Yeah thanks man. Yeah i have had these Hiros since July 06. They have been OOC since March 09 cuz my wife checked them to death and 2 tires were showing thread so i just threw back on the stockies for a while. I hated the tires they were on Nankang NSII.

Anyways I got a nail in my stockies in Aug so instead of buying 2 new stockie tires I missed my 19's and bought 2 tires for them (still rolling on 2 nankangs on the rear for now)

Guess the black was a phase

Yeah it was crazy the neighborhood on the left entrance was at least 4 feet as the water was up to the hood. But yeah Adrian is in Ft Bragg NC still doing training before he goes to Iraq for 6 months. He hit me up on BBM the other day.

As far as me im not going anywhere Navy wise anymore

I'm probably gonna order tires this week and will let you know when they are mounted. I just took them to my parents house in Newport news yesterday. I'm bout to order some Honda emblems for the wheels. your car looks good with the 19's. We all need to plan another meet but after my wheels are on of course haha.

Get 5000k bulbs if you want a pure white, get 6000k bulbs if you want white with a hint of blue. Keep in mind that the higher degrees kelvin that you go, the less light output you get.

x2

4300k is usually around 3400lumens. 6000k is about 2600lumens. IIRC 5000k is around 3000lumens.

I wouldnt run anything higher then 5000k. As bulbs age, they tend to climb the kelvin scale, reducing lumens. A 4300k bulb will usually turn into a 5000k bulb, and a 5000k bulb will be closer to a 6000k bulb, and so on. With a lower kelvin reading, you wont get the blue light (dont know why you'd want that though), but you'll get more lumens over the life of the bulb.

Just make sure that whatever aftermarket bulbs you get have some sort of a warranty. There is a capsule inside them filled with salts, thats what gets charged and creates the light. There are alot of cheap bulbs out there where that capsule is not aligned properly, which drastically changes how the light is thrown off the reflector.

Before you install them, wipe down the bulb and the ground wire (thats the brown or black wire running from the tip of the bulb to the base on the outside) with isopropyl alcohol. Those first aid prep pads are perfect, but I dont have those alot of times so I have a bottle of it and I use a tissue that doesnt have any lotions or anything on it (aka cheap tissues).

Unrelated to my ability to install a Supercharger^. I completly FAILED on my simple pad and rotor change out. Putting the pads on went to press in my pistons and i pressed in 3 and the 4th shot out of the caliper

So needless to say brake fulid everywhere and when i tried to put it back in i ripped the gasket that holds it in..FML I had to order a gasket set from Acura and im waiting on it. Should be here hopefully tomorrow. Lesson learned on 4 piston brembo brakes

yeah i heard that also but i also heard that it loads faster, but you will notice the real difference when your traveling and ur in a small town that in 06 wasn't in the database and now it is. Its a security blanket for travel

Noting worse than bening lost and your Navi saying "yeah i dont know where the fuck we at also cuz"

That sucks. A little trick I use is to crack the bleeder screw a little and push the pistons back into the caliper. Close up the bleeder and top off the fluid. As long as you keep the bleeder pointed up you shouldnt get any air in it. Just keep a rag nearby to soak up the small amount of brake fluid.

What's up VA peeps!

As most of you know, I left to go IA over a month ago. I'm still in the States for a while. I'm working in NC to train for my job when I forward deploy. My car is stuck in SC for now at my parents house, while i'm rolling around in a rental here. My son Dion is down there going to my old high school; oh BTW he got his Learners Permit. And I gave him and my dad permission to drive my TL ever now and again; what was I thinking...lol!

Anyway just want to holler at you guys. Hope yall keeping the Va team alive and kicking. I see there's some new members; welcome guys! Hope to meet you guys when I get back. Peace fellas!

Adrian!

Where in NC are you? And you are going to let your son drive the TL? If you were my dad I would love you!

I haven't heard from you in a while so I hope all is well!
