Do you guys know of any good places to get tints done and how much did you pay for yours

what brand and type is the tint? do they do all around except windshield?

 

they use Global window films. They use a plotter so they can probably get all the windows if thats what you want...

I got mine done for $150 (Acurazine+student discount). Tints are excellent, they cover the entire windows/jam and tint the rear break light.

Just mention you're from Acurazine and get a discount ($160)

Highly recommend. I brought in 3 friends already and they are all very happy with the final results

I recomend them as well. I live in Northern VA and it was worth the drive. I had them install the 3m color stable line of film which is around $250.

 

so none of you guys went with the non metalic carbon film? to not disrupt your navi's or wahtever

 

Look up 3m color stable. I pasted some infomation from there website about the film.

so is the one at Driven Dynamics uses 3M color stable? I called them today to check the price and $40 for the non-metalic one.

its said supposedly the metallic films are suppose to interfere with navi/cell phone. but i dont have any of that problem. I get full service/signal on all items. I have a friend whos tls has navi. nothing is disturbed.

 

I guess it's just a gimmick so you pay more.

 

well, i'm guess some have problems and some are lucky? I'm on Global window film carbon and dont have any problems with my navi and cell.

 

my friend just recently opened a tint/detail shop in chantilly, he does rilly good work, he custom cuts all film and does mobile install if you want, PM if interested, he'll get you the best price and fyi, i went to Ziebart Tint in fairfax, do not ever go there, it was $210

Ive heard, i have a friend who recommends them to me and i saw the job done to his car... AMAZINGLY NICE...

 

I have just had Llumar ATX installed on my TL by Skyline Tint. I chose the ceramic ATX film to avoid any interference problems with the Nav and Bluetooth systems. I've heard that metallic films can also affect the remote door opener.

go on ebay look up acura tl tint buy and have place put it on and dont letem charge u more then 100... thats if u dont know or have tools to doit ur self.. yes its hard and u do need practice so def think the place should do it.. ebay tint from good rated sellers is perfect and cheap .. precut for the windows and all windows for like 25 bucks free shipping .. all the store has to do is basically put it on thats it.. most of the work is done in the cutting stage and that requires alota time
