Issue of hard start only happens when car is cold or has not been started for about 8 hours. Issue does not repeat itself if turned off and then immediately turned back on again.
Recently had Starter replaced. Mechanic gave car a full inspection and said only thing it needs now is: serp belt tensioner and transmission mount.
What is your opinion on this starting issue? Could the starter I purchased on Ebay be going bad? Fuel pump? The only clue I have is that the problem ONLY duplicates itself when cold/or car has been off for a while.

That doesn't sound right at all. The starter you bought from eBay? I personally would get another starter, brand new OEM (not refurbished) Starters and alternators are 2 key parts that I stick with as OEM parts.
Yeah...it does sound like grim death. It usually only does it when the car hasnt been started for at least 8 hours. When it has the hard start, I usually stop turning the key, put it back to off position, and then try again. Then it starts up without issue. I do not like to keep cranking the key.....dont want to stress the fuel pump.
I bought on ebay but it was an OEM used part. Has 1 year warranty.
Started on this car is a bitch to install. Have to pull up intake.
Based on the noise it is making, is that a noise that a bad starter would make? I mean mechanically, what on the starter would cause that noise?
I am having trouble finding any other videos of that same sound. And, once car starts I have NO other issues. I have to leave it at mechanic overnight so that first thing in morning he can get car to replicate the issue/noise.
Just odd that it only happens when car hasnt been started in hours. If it was a starter, it would be a constant hard start? If I have a hard start now and drive around, and then
let car sit for an hour and then restart, I have no hard start or noise as is in video.
Thinking I may try replacing the engine coolant temp sensor and see if that helps. If issue still happens I will take for diagnosis.
