Intermittent starting problem

So recently my 2001 CL-S has been giving me some starting issues. at least once a day the car wont start and it will take me a half hour or more of trying to start it for it to crank over. the starter was just replaced along with the timing belt, water pump, fuel pump, spark plugs, and ignition harness. i dont know what to try next but its still not starting. and sometimes it will start and shut right back off. i have been having this problem since way before all the above mentioned parts were replaced so i know its not caused by any of that. Please help me guys.

I remember a faulty relay part. It was an easy fix.

Does your car start when it's really hot/cold? Any conditions to make it start?

So I also have the intermittent start issue. Specifically on really hot days. I'll go after the relay.

Can this relay also cause the battery to suddenly "die". I put that in quotes b/c it isn't really dead. It's as though it disconnects or something, the clock goes dead, security light on radio stops flashing. Without doing anything, these all come back on, but have been reset as though it was disconnected. Sometimes it happens within seconds, sometimes a few minutes.

Thats exactly what it stands for. Fairly easy to replace , under dashboard by the left side of the steering column

Yes, has it. Ordered one today from Ebay. Acura dealer out of MS..Jackson? Was $53 delivered. Dealer wanted $88 after tax. Hoping not too bad to put in...and hoping it fixes my issue. (same as many on here, hard start hot days, hard start after long sit)

Replaced mine last week...followed by a week of 110 - 128 heat index for a week plus...no problems starting at all. Love this board. Easy fix, lost a few pounds doing it in the humidity, it's win/win!

Just went through this myself. Luckily (subjective) Honda has been using the same POS Mitsu relays since the late 80's. Sucks from a reliablity standpoint, but is awesome when you have a 94 accord parts car with the same exact realy

I just had the exact same issue guys. Hot day, get back to my car, starter turned the engine over, but no startup. after trying for about 15 minutes (not continuously) with the door open cooling the interior of the car, it FINALLY started.

here it is: http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
