usdmJON's 2013 ILX build
I just want to make sure all parts are there, and do an easy install.
Sorry your had trouble. FWIW, the car does look nice. And also, I'd limit your driving until it is aligned to save your tires. It really should not settle any more. You don't need to wait for an alignment.
2012Wagon, feel free to call me and 949-295-1668 chat.

hahaha I've still got the full suspension, exhaust, intake, and other random pieces the buyer of my Integra didn't care to take with him.
Always smart to hold onto old parts and I don't like banking on getting money back as many people do because you end up just sitting on parts you can't sell.

Going to go lower in the front. Now time to consider how wide I want to go and decide if I want to do that now or later.

usdmJON again as I stated, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. While I don't necessarily agree with everything that was written I do understand your frustration. We're working with ISC to determine why your end links won't bolt up but I'd appreciate some pictures or clarification via email to show why. We will get everything resolved for you and I will provide some sort of compensation for your time/expenses.
I've responded to the e-mail.
For clarification, the endlinks are too short. About 2 inches. Exactly how much I am unsure as once it was clear they would not reach the bracket it was decided to use the OEM links. Pictures were not taken.
As I stated in the last e-mail, I have pretty much cut my losses here. I dont plan on getting under the car to take a picture of the size comparison. If ISC chooses to fix the endlinks they can ship them to me; it is the right thing to do. If not, I am fine using my OEM endlinks and calling it a day.
I thank you for the 10% discount offered but I can safely cut my nose off to spite my face here. Chances are I wont be using it. I wanted a refund. I didn't get a refund. Call me bitter. So far 8 out of 10 people agree with me.. including yourself.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience. I'm still unsure as to what the best solution is for you because I get mixed posts/emails. In the email you wrote:
Honestly guys I am happy the suspension is in and works great. Oem endlinks are in and working fine. Unless the isc endlinks are an upgrade I dont see getting under it myself to swap them out.

Then you wrote in the next email:
So no im not happy with the entire situation. The performance of the coilovers, now installed, I am happy with.
I will say they are stiff enough, so Kudos Josh for suggesting those after the track set ups were sold out.

So I wrote:
I understand your concern.
Currently there is a $48 difference from what you paid and the sale price. I will give you a $48 credit that you can use on anything you want. I will also still offer you a 10% discount as well.
Do you need brakes? Camber kits?

So anyways, I'd like to put it behind us and move forward as well. Please let me know if you'd like to take us up on our offer.
Im sorry I feel like I have been very straight forward here.
I am happy with the suspension in how it is currently working but I am not happy with the over all transaction and my experience with your shop or ISC as a company.
I feel ISC did a poor job with R&D as the suspension they created does not fit the car it is advertised for. The bracket and endlinks do not fit.
I understand XLR8 is a drop ship company or similar and frankly has no idea what is in the packaging that arrived at my home.
However I feel I did deserve a refund when I asked multiple times due to the fact that the suspension did not fit as advertised. Simple as that. The part I purchased was not as you, the shop, said claimed it was. Be it your fault or ISC, I deserved a refund. I dont care who foots that bill.
And frankly your offer to fix the issue is a load of flack. You want me to spend more money with you in order to get any kind of value out of the olive branch you are extending. I thank you for your efforts to get ISC to fix the issue but it was not enough to maintain my business with your shop.

Geezus. THere is nothing like bad internet publicity.
The amount of money a company/vendor loses by word of bad mouth is incredible.
I would just give all your money back John, and be done with it.
1 bad review is akin to 10 lost sales, if not more.
I almost pulled the trigger with this vendor, but after hearing your issue, I will be paying more to do business with HeelToe.

Just a random update for anyone looking to pick up ISC coilovers.
Yes they fit my car now. No I am not using the endlinks ISC provided as they do not fit.
XLR8 has sent them two e-mails to which they dont seem interested in responding to.
Great company huh? Go Team Gold!
Anyways. Lowered the front end more. Enjoying how it sits as the front is pretty low but I have some clearance still.

It's funny how I can lower the car and it feels no lower to me but my mechanic buddy whom helped as an extra pair of hands felt like I was crazy and he could tell a dramatic change in ride height.

Hell no. I am not a fan of the blacked out anything look pretty much.
I liked the idea of removing the orange reflectors but once I saw the exposed turn signal bulbs I ditched that idea. Looks good from far but up close, no way.
I like the front end exactly how it is. Less is more for me and I feel like the blacked out headlights/grill is begging for too much attention.

hahaha Well thanks man.
ILX is a nice car. It is a great upgrade to an Integra as it is very very similar.
Not the quickest car but it's definitely quicker than the integra I came from. And though many people here simply don't like them I am surprised how many people in person haven't seen them and really like them.
The average person at the local starbucks...
Them- "That's a nice car. Mind if I ask how much they go for?"
Me- "About 30. You can get the base model for around 27k."
Them- "Really? Wow. And it's an Acura? So that means its reliable right? I thought it was a Lexus or something. Cool car."
And more often than not it is a female. Typically older than me. Maybe late 20s early 30s.
Then I also see a local older guy driving a white one and a younger dude with the same color I have. Seems like more females are interested which is funny because I believe acura was targeting the younger male crowd.

^^ interesting... ya Ive only ever saw one in my area, a black one, and it at first I did think it was a lexus, funny you mentioned that...I kinda gave it a more thorough look (it was parked) and realized shit this is a new Acura.. I've always been stuck in TL land.. I really like the 2016 ILX A spec thats coming out next year but the wheels they have on it are just them silly wavy civic ones. like cmon Acura
LOL I get the same reaction as well - either they think its a higher end Acura like TSX or TLX, or even once got RLX once (guy wasn't paying too much attention tho). Or they think its a Lexus. So to the guy on another thread saying this car looks like a Corolla or basic Hyundai, he's just crazy.
AND - I literally do get girls coming up and asking me about the car, all the time. It does draw in girls. I know I got hated on before, but honestly, fuck a hater. A lot of girls ask questions about it, then I seg-way it into getting their number or whatever. This car can actually get you girls, not joking.
Last car meet I went to, two 17 year old girls were all over my dick, TOO YOUNG THO. DANGER, STOP!
Most of the girls that ask alot about it are 18-25-ish tho. Not too shabby. Nice conversation starter, especially if you fix it up a bit.

I've always felt the ILX was a Lexus IS wannabe (not in a bad way), with its stubby front, rear, greenhouse design, and even the name. Girls love that car, so no surprise they'd be attracted to the ILX too.
And just like the IS250, I also felt the pre-mmc ILX was targeted at females given that they generally have less of an issue with smaller powerplants.

@USDM I still love the build and love how clean your ILX is. Tasteful clean mods ftw.
Once again these are simply my opinions, please do not get all butthurt and emotional.

Lol thanks for the shoutout, I can see my comparing your precious ILX to a hyundai or corolla still has you butt hurt. Poor thing you. I also find it funny that you are so happy about the fact that girls keep asking you about the ILX. I think its because its perfect for a girl. The ILX especially the 2.0 automatic would be a great car for a daughter's first car. My girlfriend wanted one but she went with a 2015 subaru legacy 2.5 because it had more features and of course awd standard. I mean you are simply driving a civic in a tuxedo. Here in NY you are waayy more likely to see a female driving an ILX or a civic then a male.

Whether its Sport Injected or not, a Civic is a Civic. Unless its a Type R, then its God, and you never disrespect God.

Well honestly YOU seem to have taken it way more serious then it was intended. All i said was you're crazy. I almost bought a Civic Si, i like that car a lot. Maybe you need a car to make you feel like more of a man, but I'm already a Marine Sgt, so i don't need help in that department. If you think your car makes you more of a man LMAO Go ahead and show me how much it helps out when someone who IS a bigger man beats your ass LOL Don't forget to hit Vtech, im sure that will help
Oh and what does hitting *Vtec* have to do with a bigger man beating your ass? What exactly are you into? You must be a fan of 50 Shades of Grey....
Last edited by Slade; Mar 24, 2015 at 11:56 AM.
This is where you are incorrect, I don't need a car to make me feel like more of a man. I need a car to represent the man that I am, and the ILX does not do that for me. Maybe it does for you and that's great but not me.

So CLEARLY, you are a man with VERY low self esteem. This you basically already screamed out loud in the other thread with "My car has to Say I have more money then you".
You are simply a different version of the guy who gets the huge lifted truck on huge wheels to feel more masculine, because deep inside you are simply a sad individual. No matter how much money you have, that doesn't make you have a better personality, buffer, better looking, smarter, or clearly in your case, more self confident.
I don't need a car to announce to the world that i am a man's man. I simply am. I'm pretty sure any real man who feels confident in himself doesn't need a car to say that for them either.
Hitting Vtec was simply me mocking you.Clearly.
What good does it do you if you have a V-10 motor with 500-HP when someone who is much more of a man decides to beat your ass? Your car doesn't represent how much of man you are, what a joke. Big motor =little dick.
When you walk into a bar does the girl notice you, or the buff musclehead who's broke as a joke? And That guy may be broke , but he'll beat your neckbeard ass up.
In life it is best to be well rounded instead of a one trick pony. Money is great, no hate from me. You "claim" to have money, id suggest you use it to develop yourself as a man.
