Appreciate the advice. Since this is a $1000+ mod with various options available, I will look into many options. I will definitely look in to Vit. He was highly recommended on 9th gen civic, and in person by several SI owners at meets.

NEW PAGE OH SHET
Found my first Amber Brown Stone ILX... made me happy I went with PMM.
P.S. I love seeing those stock wheels now because I no longer have them.

Not interested in getting the front brace. Shit will scraaaaap on everything and I dont really corner aggressively enough to need it. I added the rear one but literally just to add to my mods list since it was so cheap. No chance in hell I can feel that mod. I went crazy with bracing in my integra and realized its pretty much just talk on a car that doesnt need to shave seconds off their lap time.

But nothing against adding it just to say youve got it. The bigger the mods list the better right?!

He is correct. For the most part with civic the front is already large enough if not a bit too large for its own good. Its fine in normally driving but it tends to be noticed with aggressive handling. With civic and integras they work best with beefer rear sway and Id only upgrade the front if I want like 32mm in the rear.

Buddy club just came out with one for the 2012+ SI so I may do that. Don't know if camber wear is an issue for you. If so, I'd recommend that too, but all the good brand ones I've seen are pricey.
I saw Eibach and Skunk2 had some. The LCAs offered for the 2012+ civic are camber kits. So yes I planned on picking up a camber kit. Probably Eibach since I like them better than Skunk2. Im going to look around more and see if I can find anything else but eibach will work for me.

I am not worried about camber wear. Its a way of life when youre low. But I do want more positive camber in the rear to match the front. But once Im running more aggressive wheels Ill be running camber and living with that extra wear.

There is someone I saw with a 9th gen with the brace. They have to do the same trimming we would have to do on the inside carpet so maybe hit someone up with a 9th gen that has it. Good luck figure out whats loose!

If anyone is interested I am willing to sell my extra roof spoiler. Looks exactly like the one above. Brand new never taken out of the wrapping.
I have literally had the same dude ask me 3 times if I had it for sale still and ignore me every time I respond. So Id be more than willing to off it cheaper just so it is gone the next time he asks. hahaha Yeah Im that guy. PM me and we'll work something out.

A girl maybe 26-28 years in age. I believe she worked at the Starbucks because she made it a point to say rather loudly to her friend whom was working
"I agree with you I'll send him smiley face smiley
face a s s h o l e."

But anyways. She approached me and said I didn't have to tell he r the exact price but she wanted to know how much the car costs. I told her roughly 30 but I went with one of the higher trims. It starts at 26.
She said that she thought that was cheap and it looked a lot like it was on the Lexus side of things. I agreed.

ILX gets a pretty good rep outside azine.

Told ya man. I also got the Lexus like comparisons. With your sick wheels I'm pretty sure you'd get more compliments if you went to meets or stuff like that.

haha Once I get my coilovers I'll start getting out there. Im thinking around February I'll drop some money on coilovers since I plan on waiting until the car is paid off... or near so to get bags; but I will definitely get bags down the line.

No idea which kind yet. Wont start looking into that until the new year.
Until then still need RSB, LCA/camber kit, and some interior pieces like vinyl and I want a sub.

Last four pictures were all from today.

Thanks man! Loving the CF touches you added to the sabb. I need to do this with my interior trim. Have you seen the recent TLX build that popped up? White TLX on Vossens. He did some CF interior trim and daaaamn it looked classy. I was afraid it would look overly sporty but looks great.

It's sick. It is owned by a dealership. They said they want to show the potential of the tlx for marketing purposes. Just a kit, lowered, and on vossens. Looks great though. I'm super jealous.

hahaha Im not a fan of the brand, but that car looks flawless! It is really going to help Acura if that thing gets out. TLX went from tame and classy to mean and classy.

This is as dirty as I let her get. Always one week. Always double bucket.

Started using auto glass cleaner on my wheels. Wheel cleaner was streaking the polished lips. Glass cleaner makes those bitches shine like a mirror.

Im wondering if a house glass cleaner would work the same. Id of course look into the chemicals used to see if it is safe for painted surfaces as well as metals and plastic. I doubt it but I wonder if a vinegar free glass cleaner would be fine...

Just a chop. But it is where I plan to be once I get some coils and a rear camber kit by tax season. Only like 3 months away. Probably get the camber kit prior and probably another goody or two then coils with my tax refund.

Original can be found near the top of this page.
All I did was lower it to what would probably be a 3 inch drop... 1.5 further than what I have now. And tilted the rear wheel as if camber was adjusted near to the front camber.

I will be very happy there and I'll give me plenty of time to save for some mature low (air) and maybe the rest of the oem kit would be awesome. Who knows. Trying to buy time before getting the wheels rebuilt again.

I got to see one in person recently. Not enough brown for my taste. I love a good rootbeer colored car, but the amber brownstone looked like a dirty PMM in my opinion. Lacked the same luster.

Amber Brownstone and Polished Metal Metallic seem very similar, the brownstone having a tint of brown and the polished metal having more blue.

Maybe that's why acura went with Kona Coffee on the RDX after 2013. I have yet to see that color. I don't like the Black Copper pearl on the TLX. Reminds me of the ugly Reagul Plum on the vigor.

I want a deep silver with a brown haze in it of that makes sense. Lol.

Oh I think Reagul Plum looks great. But I like most colors. I'm an artist who will never claim to have a favorite or least favorite color. Everything can look good if done right.

Service #3 in the books minus the cabin filter.
Wash and wax. It was a hot day in So Cal yesterday.

Im at 30k plus, i think Ive had like 5 oil changes already going for 6 here soon..... But I have a manual, and it was on the dyno at Injen, I remember my oil life had gone down a shitload when I got it back from them.... but right around your mileage I had to change the cabin filter and the stock air intake filter, they were both filthy. Was your cabin filter still good?

Didnt check the cabin filter. Im sure it is decently dirty by now. A lot of people go the entire life of their car never replacing the cabin filter. I know I never once did in the 4+ years I had the integra. So I know its not a big deal and I'll change it out within the next 2 services.

My intake has already been replaced and on its own oiling schedule. haha

As for the miles, I doubt the car is run on the dyno that long to start really effecting how many miles is put on the car. Though I can see the more aggressive pulls on a dyno running your oil quicker than average driving. A dyno pull is not your average drive to 7 11. lol

Check out the sign above my car.

Just a new pic while out to a new food stop ive not been to before. AWESOME sweet potato fries.
...I love my daily driver. Can't wait to follow the cool kids and go F/I. Wonder if any 2.Slowers will go f/i before me.
We've got two 2.4s down... but Ive got a lot I want before I go that route. At least wait until after it's paid off I'm sure.

Wonder if a turbo will ever happen for the 2.4? Probably later on... like a few years from now, somebody might... Are you gonna do coils and then FI? Cuz honestly, my opinion, do the FI first. You have a real clean wheel fitment right now. Plus what about Airbags instead? Universal Air suspension can get you a full kit installed for $3k. My next huge mod, but that will be a while/long time from now. Then wheels, to make sure the wheel stance is good with how the suspension sits after. But I don't think you'd have issues.

F/I will be one of the last thing I do to this car and definitely wont be until the car is paid off. Im down to mod a car that's still being paid off, but not F/I. Thats too close for comfort for me. Im okay with a dealer possibly seeing Ive lowered the car before its paid off but F/I... fuck that I'll wait until my warranty is up.

Thanks for the compliment on my wheels but the fitment is probably what I care about the most and its not where I want it in a final stage nor a mid point stage. Not trying to go crazy flush or poke fitment but I need my wheels at least another inch wider and want to go an inch lower. Then I'll be at a height I can be happy with for the next two years. I'll purchase some other mods here and there before then going with bags once Ive gotten maybe 2 years out of the coils. Bags MAY be done before the car is paid off but I doubt it.

Both bags and F/I is something Id rather wait until after the car is completely paid for.

Thought I uploaded this one already but the link died or I deleted it I guess.

If you ask me AOmech, Id say those wheels of mine need lips like Jolie. Right now they are 1inch outer lips with 7in inner barrels making them 8in wide. I can upgrade to some 2in outers and keep the same inners to make the wheels 9inches instead of 8. Also itll drop the offset from 38 to about 12-13 offset. Should still fit easier than Aaron's 9.5 wide SSRs even with my 10mm lower offset and the lips will look GREAT with 2 inches of mirror finish. They'll be twice as big!!

I might get the outer lips chrome dipped as well so they really reflect those gold bolts.
However I may change up the color so I may not keep the gold bolts... we'll see.

Hot damn, ilxluv, I don't visit the forums for half a year and I come back and see this sexy beast. Well done, Sir. Also, I am about to get some 18x8 wheels with a +35 offset. I'll be lowering with eibach's pro kit springs (won't go as low as your h&r's). How much room you got back there in your rear wheel wells if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks!! Still have a long way to go but I'm enjoying where I am.
That is a nice conservative wheel size for our ILX. Pretty much identical to what I have. Id say I can run 25mm spacers in the rear without much issue if any. That's about an inch. I know a couple other ILX owners running 9.5 back there with around 25offset so with 18x8 we've got more than an inch on stock camber.. Camber adjusted to zero and you wouldnt be able to fit more than 8 I doubt.

Sounds good. I''ll post pics when I deem mine worthy to present to the interwebz. BTW ilxforums.com seem like a ghost town now... Oh well. Your car and Slaammedilx give me hope that this can be tastefully modded... And not... Well, you know, end up looking cheaper than stock. (Think this has happened to people with even the best intentions.)
