Tint Rant

So about two months ago i got my windows tinted by these popular reviewed shop, "Accutint Pro"
Acutintpro - Upland, CA | Yelp

Pretty much outstanding reviews and customer service, but the quality is great but the work is ehhhhh. The day i got installed he warned me that there maybe air bubbles still so advise me not to park in the garage and leave it in the sun so i did that for 3 days because i went to a vegas trip. Came back and i could spot little tiny air bubbles still if you look closely as well as when i roll my windows down it makes a squeaky noise like film rubbing against the window seals. I took it to him and he took off the air bubbles and they couldnt figure out what to do for the noise but they just sprayed silicone spray to the window seals because it was really dry which i dont know why new car? but the shop owner told me that its the dealers fault for these window seals, I never had a bad tint experience but man just last week my tweezer speakers are starting to fall apart! Talk about a bad install, maybe they just didnt know how to deal with an ILX but i may be wrong because its similar to a civic.

reading from the outside in; it doesnt seem like you had a bad experience....???
i'm a little confused, because that's normal tinting procedures....

it takes time to cure the tint and all of its bubbles...especially with a higher end tint that is a bit thicker than normal tint. I had my tint shop apply a ceramic tint that took up to 3 weeks to cure of all its bubbles.

and Acura's always have had a problem with their rubber window seals. the correct procedure to fix the window seals is to use shin etsu grease, which is silicone based.

so, you got the product installed and they applied a silicone grease to fix dry rubber..
I dont see the problem

Sorry for the confusion the problem is still there my windows when they roll is like film is peeling and my speaker tweezers werent installed back correctly. i think id have to remove the door panel just to install them properly in place to hold.

No the tint film isnt peeling but i bet they had to remove the tweeter to inspect what was squeaking the noise when the windows were rolled down so they probably half assed it when putting it back together.

okay, so your main gripe is that they half assed the speaker.
instead of taking it back, fix it yourself!
ive seen your craiglist car trades! this is something that you can easily fix.

yes! you've come a long way with your cars!!
it was so exciting to read the journey! if you can fix/put together those cars, the ILX will be a breeze!

for this job, I believe the door panel on the inside has to come off.
its held in by screws.

let me try to get you the service manual scans.

I have the tweeter problem on my passenger side starting today after my tint was installed today. They even tore a tiny part of the vinyl upholstery on my 2016 ILX. Its so small to notice from afar, but noticeable when you're up close so I may get it repaired by a shop later. As for the tweeter loose issue on the passenger side, should we take it to Acura to fix or leave it alone? It doesn't pop out while driving, its just "there". I know it'll pop out more if I was to open and close my door more often, but the passenger side rarely gets the door open since I live alone.
