Help! Trunk wont open with FOB or button on the trunk, only with the inside release l

Help! Trunk wont open with FOB or button on the trunk, only with the inside release l

Hello, Just seeing if anyone can help me out with this issue.. I've ruled out that it's definitely not related to the valet switch which is located in the glove box or the trunk key lock near the release lever.. I can hear the trunk trying to open but it just will not. The only way I can open the trunk is by pulling he only way I can open the trunk is by pulling the the release lever located near the driver's seat. Is it safe to assume that I need an actuator or possibly spring release? Thank you in advance for any assistanceHello,

pop the trunk and look at the latching mechanism, try to activate it with the FOB....what do you see going on? I dont have an answer for you, just helping you diagnose the issue

Yes, you probably have a problem with the actuator. As above, LOOK at it, you may find something loose or worn.
