Trunk Won't open - Save My Beer

Hey guys,

Just back from a trip to Boston picked up a case of my favorite local IPA beer at $10 a six pack put it in the trunk with the rest of my crap got hime and found my trunk won't open.

The button on the key fob works and you can hear it function but it doesn't release, same with the trunk release button inside the car - it functions but the trunk won't "pop".

HELP my beer is in there!

fold down your arm reast and reach in there and pull the emergency release. Should make it open. Otherwise grab each beer one by one out of the pack through the hole...

You said you locked it in your truck. What kind? Or did you mean the trunk of your TL?

Even if you flick the lock in the glovebox, you should still be able to open the trunk using the fob key ..

Happened to me once when I overtightened the latch.

How 2 open:

Stand back to back with your trunk, push into the lower area of the trunk with your ass while you press the trunk open button

Sounds funny, but it might work for you too lol

When the striker is adjusted too deep or is hit causing it to move, there is a lot of tension on the latch mechanism which doesnt allow the latch to release. By putting weight on the trunk lid, it compresses the weather strip and helps to reduce that tension allowing the latch to open.
