BTW, we can get just about anything on the planet. The reason we need some support is because I don't do a lot of Civic stuff and need some input on what the primo stuff to offer is. Sounds like you have a pretty good idea...

well, time to get rid of my 2011 Si, get a 2013 ILX, do a k20z3 head swap, then throw one of my superchargers on it.
The k20z3 head (true DOHC iVTEC) is completely compatible with the engine in the ILX. Just needed a way to tune it. And adding that head should make the car compatible with most of the aftermarket parts available for the 8th gen civic.... of which there are many.
We are back to legoland on Hondas... the new LS VTEC swap? lol

Price? Warranty effects? Reliability effects?
Warranty will be most certainly voided with the S/C, it always has. Though, there are some dealers (acura), who if you get the kit installed through them, will still honor a powertrain warranty of sorts. Reliability is yet to be determined, but on the k20s/k24s of yonder, people have been seeing upwards of 50k miles on the car without problems. Obviously, there will be more wear and tear (oil changes should be more frequent as well as tranny fluid and relevant transmission components). I've been researching s/c applications for hondas for a while and it's not til now where I have the income to actually bite the bullet. I don't doubt that CT-engineering will offer several options in terms of boost/power levels.
While sharing with the civic theme, Full-race has a turbo kit for the K24 and R18 motors. Want to make some serious power I would give them a call and see if it would fit or would need some minor modifications

But man, another 50-60HP at the wheels without any turbo-lag would be sweeet.
well, the thing is, nobody really tracks their mileage with the s/c. I know people who drive them daily who have 100k on their motors, but they didn't put the s/c til like 40k miles on their car. If you drive the car hard every day, you may have issue, but with that extra power, you may not even need to.

Mike_si_29 on 8thcivic has over 80k on his car with the CTe blower on it (over 90k total on the chassis/motor). He is running the smaller pulley setup and an aftercooler making over 370hp... still going strong. If you have it properly tuned and take care of it, don't sweat it.
