I recently just got a lease of $1,500 down and mthly payment of $380w/tx ($345 monthly payment & I got the Acura safe lock for an extra $20/month pre-tax).
Curious to know other people's leases the down and monthly payments

Well, I just lease one for my girlfriend. I paid $1000 down payment and $400 monthly for a 36 month lease with 12,000 mile/year.

Yes tax and everything included in the $400/month payment. The $1000 down payment basically covered the first month's payment and the dealer fee. This is our second car in a few months from the same dealer salesman, so I think that may have helped the price a bit.

 

I also forgot to mention that the salesman threw in the all season floormats and the trunk tray.

I am still negotiating w/ the dealership, but my last quote was 36 month/12k miles for $423 per month with only $423 (first month payment) due at signing. That is including them taking over the remaining 3 months on my current Lexus HS250 lease.

I am okay with $423/month (which includes taxes and everything) but I don't want to put the $423 down.

Reasonable? I live in Maryland for what its worth.

 

Hi tsxinva, interesting...my $1,500 down and $380 with tax comes to $423.71 a month over 35 months (as my $1,500 included 1st month payment)...however, the extra 2k miles/yr at $0.20 lifts my costs per month +$34 so it would be $450 in my comparable universe...so it seeems like your deal is good...I must say I also got the add'l wear/tear/bumps insurance that covers me for $5K of damage to the vehicle upon return

 

Yes, I am talking about the ILX Hybrid with Tech Package. I think you're getting a great deal!

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you want to put the $423 down? It's your first payment which, if you think about it, you're walking off the lot with a new car for that amount.

 

This negotiation took place early October, so my issue with paying $423 at signing was that I already made a monthly payment for my Lexus for October and by putting $423 down when signing, then that means I would be making 2 car payments in one month.
The deal works if go back and make the deal at the end of this month.

When I got my Lexus in 2010 it was the same situation. They took my TSX and waived my first month so I wouldn't make 2 payments in the same month.

 

Hey its great seeing other hybrid owners on here! If you guys have some time can you list experiences on the hybrid tech thread including how you like the car, what other cars you cross shopped, and what were factors for you to purchase the ILX. It would be good to get some good things in print about the hybrid...thanks in advance.

 

Just signed the deal. Hybrid Tech black/black paying $399 per month which includes all taxes, tags, fees with only $399 first month payment due at signing. That includes free oil changes for the entire lease.

Got a call from the sales manager today offering the new deal so I bit. Also they took over the last 3 payments on my current lease. Well I think they just paid it off and will sell it on their lot.
