Awesome!!! Lemme know if you need any help with it. Did you check your ecu to make sure it's compatible.

So, my buddy drives a 2011 VW GTI with the DSG automatic.. he ran like a 9.33 in the 1/8th.. we are scheduled to go out to a local 1/4 mile track and throw down.. it's likely he will win. BUT by then I should have my downpipe and intake on.. cross our fingers that I throw down 200+whp on the eDyno cause he makes about 205whp stock and GOBS more torque, but he weighs more.

Slip the clutch out just before vtec, should do you good on the stock tires.

What do you mean? Ride the clutch to 5200!?
LOL I was thinking the car can probably launch @ 3000

I should find a service road to practice the launches.. I haven't really put my car through the dead stop ringer yet.

people are getting 14.8 / 14.9 on stock cars with stock tires...you should be able to get a 15.0 - 15.2 considering the lack of differential and the added 80/100 lbs of this vs the civic si

You have to consider the humidity of TX and also my 60' is going to take some practice cause I haven't dealt with FWD launches. I will be satisfied if I run a 15.5 or lower. Anything higher and I am cussing!

But if I break 200whp maybe that will be worth a few tenths.

wrong thread, lol. But, either way, the s/c is quiet because it's only running the 3.6 pulley and a very quiet intake (the takeda is like running a stock intake with a high flow filter).

The SC is plenty loud. The intake def looks like poop. But, that borla is real real loud.

Yea, the sad thing is that the borla is one of the quieter ones in stock form so I feel like you aren't going to find much of a quieter exhaust. I'm going to get the Borla and add a resonator or two to quiet it down.

Start you're own thread. Mods well eventually sub-forum our section. This thread will serve as a general performance part chat thread.

Now for the bad news.. The install of the downpipe is not nearly as easy on the ILX as it is on the Civic

I dunno what it is but I think it's the electrical steering assit deal.. It's actually attach to that cover that you take off above the downpipe and its welded into the body of the car.. Where the Si it just comes right off

LOL NOPE.. dude there is no way you're getting to it.. I am not even sure how a shop could without dropping the motor or something. The cowl above the DP is very much so welded into the body.. Acura is stupid for that but whatevez.

lol what? So wishy washy, bro.

My mechanic is looking at it tomorrow.
I should of put emphasis on the fact that it looked like it was nearly impossible to get back there... I am sure Acura has to change the Cats eventually.... I don't actually imagine it would require the motor being dropped out. But you sure do lean on that Si really hard. You've talked about it several times, I really just dont see what you're getting out of the Si that is worth losing money..

Maybe we can ask rv6 to create a 2 piece design? I can't wait to see the intake and stuff.
