Per the request of the forum, I've asked heeltoe to carry some ILX parts that we know to work. I'll update you guys on when he put them up. Exciting times, guys!

I feel it'd be nice to have a central vendor / place to get parts, too! He seems big on Acurazine so I know we can trust him.

I thought you already told me that in the other thread. Either way, nice! That means we can see the gains per mods. Awesome!

Nah, I said I presented it to him but he hadn't gotten back at the time. The only I wanna ask of the community is WHICH mod do you want to see alone? I am not gonna pull one off to just do the other by itself so..
We can see either the Downpipe by itself then Downpipe + CAI
OR cold air intake THEN CAI + DP..

You guys let me know.

If you have a 2.4L that would be in this order from least to most expensive:
AEM CAI
RV6 Catless downpipe
Tune

You can YouTube it equiped on Civic Si's , same sound. I do want to note on behalf of HeelToe you would need to take it to a exhaust shop and have the tip cut off and turned down. I already had it quoted at $20-$30. That would ensure it clears the bumper!

I am going to do some part number matching to make sure but looking at some pictures and diagrams... the 1.8L Civic has the exact same downpipe and air intake as the 2.0L ILX..

It maybe like the Si vs 2.4L where the lower resonator of the airbox is different but that looks like that's all.

you need to cut the bumper or get a new tip to make it fit. The tip is tiny on that exhaust though, so you aren't cutting a huge gaping hole with that exhaust. It's also the best sounding by the opinion of two of us on these forums .

keep in mind even if you did cut a hole in the bumper it's only going to be about a quarter to a third of the size of the tip itself since the tip will actually sit lower on the bumper! I can't justify the extra $600 right now for the exhaust after dropping well over *censored amount* in one month or else I would do a write-up on how to cut the bumper.

hmmm, is that an invitation for me to be the guinea pig? I want to order mounts, intake, and fix my rear sway bar this month. That's my goal. Next month is flashpro. June is dp. July is exhaust.

I will be cutting my bumper, REGARDLESS! But, I think you should get the exhaust and just cut it down if you're worried about how the bumper cutout will come out. I will say this though.. mustang and BMW guys have been doing it for YEARS with great success. Either way will be good I just think a turn down will drone a LOT more than if it were straight out the bumper.

I have yet to order my mounts
Get HeelToe to put them up cause that's my last purchase for a WHILE.. lol I thought I was gonna get my sway bars but I just did all the math on what I spent and I just cant do it with a clear conscious..

we'll see about the cutting. Also, the bars is barely more than the mounts. 195ish vs 280ish

I'd rather do the motor mounts than the sway bars. I am saying I can't justify both. Lol.. "just $80ish" might be easy to say, if you haven't already dropped 5 grand.

Will changing the motor mounts get rid of that "clunking" sound form the passenger side? Or will it just cause less noise/vibration from engine itself?

I don't think mounts are for everyone...the cause a lot of vibration that can be felt throughout the vehicle. I think they're for enthusiasts only. That said, you may need to use the mounts created for the r18 civic

once you drive a car with motor mounts, you never want to drive a car without them.

Technically you fell way behind! I have a pretty much fully modded motor setup enroute, Aaron has a fully modded suspension sitting in his room (minus mounts from what he said?)..

We beat you to power and to handling.. MUAHAHA. Just kidding but once my DP gets in I'll start a build thread. With PIX! My girlfriend signed for the DP 30 minutes ago.. so excited to see it! Then excited to see what it looks like with a black ceramic coating

I am gonna take pix of it before ceramic coating and after, then VS stock while both are off and the difference on the car. I am stoked.

Vit's warehouse(?I guess I could call it that) hasn't even sent it yet.. the way he implied it, they don't have any on hand at the moment and are waiting for Hondata to ship a set in. So, nope :\

I emailed Lightning about the AEM CAI as it's still in "process" but they told me it would ship yesterday.. if they don't get back to me with good news I am canceling and gonna see what Marcus can do for me.

iPhone quality videos worth crap to anyone? I can do some driving around with stock everything thing drive on the same road after each mod? iPhones don't really do an amazing job of recording sounds but it may give an idea of how the sound changes? Let me know! Even if one person wants them I'll do it.

Def in for pix

iPhone is fine...i just want that intake installed asap...in fact, I'd be more inclined to have you install the intake before the dp if you need to get that video out.

Speed, FOR YOU because you have helped me make some decisions I will wait til the intake gets in.. and install it first. I must say I am excited to hear the air sounds again.. listening to just the cylinders is only so fun.. and after intake it should get a deep growl

Now I am just concerned with how long FlashPro is going to take.

Thanks! Besides, you can run the car with intake and no flashpro relatively safely...dp on will be much more free flowing / have a greater affect on afrs.
