Hey Guys-

Tried to customize the splash screen using a jpeg I loaded off my USB drive. It won't load when selected! Anyone have success with this?

 

I assume you are trying to put your own photos as the wallpaper on your nav screen right?

I did it. It takes forever. Took forever to upload from a flash drive and took forever to pick out the picture I wanted to set as the screensaver. Just be patient and eventually it will work.

 

I ended up doing it.. but I never use it cause I want to see my music selection, ended up being useless for me

 

Agreed. The second I get in the car I get rid of the warning screen and the map page defaults.

Is there away to turn back to the pictures after you've gone away from it?

 

Gotta change the display back to wallpaper each time you wanna see it if you switch to music or otherwise... it's kinda a silly flaw, it should just display regardless of what you're doing as a background.

 

i use my track car as my background and I only use my ipod. I know my playlists so I dont really need to see the music. I think the color from my background looks better than the one color theme on the oem display unit.. So i actually like using the wallpaper

I know you can get to the wallpaper at any time by scrolling to the bottom of the Info menu and clicking show wallpaper.

Is the splash screen the same as the wallpaper or is it always the Acura screen? And does the wallpaper come up if neither the warning screen nor audio screens are selected or does it just go black? I haven't experienced this yet so I'm curious.

Do custom images have to be a certain size or aspect?
