On topic post: I'm surprised this thread is still going. We'll see what happens next MY when the ED drivetrains are available.

I feel like Acura's mocking entry-level luxury buyers. Leather's not standard. You get a mere 150 hp with an outdated 5-speed auto. The styling looks like a cross between the new Civic and new Versa. What's luxurious about that? What truly differentiates it from a run of the mill economy car?

I like the idea of compact luxury cars, but this clearly does NOT bring anything of value to the table. Acura =value & luxury.
Oh yea, don't get me wrong, I'd go with the TSX now, it's the better deal at this moment.

You know, a lot of luxury cars don't come with leather as standard equipment. Try buidling a 328i, it comes standard with "leatherette," which is not leather. As for the powertrain, again, wait for ED. Styling is subjective and I don't share your view and we should just keep it at that.

Acura used to be about value & luxury, but they have been trying to leave that. Whether they are successful in doing so is another matter.

You've been around a while, don't you find it amusing how 'beloved' the TSX is today? Do you remember how much the collective internet absolutely hated the car when it came out in 2008? "Bloated" "no steering feel", "no LSD", "too heavy", "too big", "no more power" ...

Yes. It's amazing how time changes things. The 2G TSX is bigger and heavier than the 1G, though, and less tossable. Even so, I like it a lot. I'll certainly miss it when it's gone.
