That blows. I saved a lot of coin by purchasing a refurb direct from Harman Kardon. I had a problem with it not too long after I got it. They sent me a UPS label via email to send it back and they sent me another one. I liked not having to deal with a service center.

Keep us posted on how you like it when you get it!

I have an older RXV-596, and will probably need to upgrade sometime. I really like the Yamaha RXV series.

Was this purchased through your parent's "discount" club?

Tell your wife you couldn't possibly imagine watching your wedding video with the sound coming from the speakers you have right now. Just wouldn't do justice to your Uncle Phil singing along with Linda Rondstat after having three too many at the open bar... I am sure she will agree.

If you have somewhere to audition them, try to get a listen to Phase Technology speakers. great sound, great value. Hell, put them on your registry and see if anyone bites!

I'm trying to NOT have a wedding video...Or at least get my pro HD cam out of the rental house and pay someone I know to just shoot it.

I'm looking at energy speakers...but not after dropping a deposit at the venue today.
