Unhappy My 2.1's right channel is no longer working!

It took a crap recently because I noticed the sound coming more from one side than the other. At first I thought maybe the right speaker was blown but I balanced the sound to one side and sure enough, no sound came out. Swapped the cables from left-left and right-right to left-right and right-left and now the right speaker works, but no sound from the left.

any chances I can fix this somehow? I got this from my last job so it kinda has sentimental value (not really) and I pretty much stole it.... it retailed for $200 over a year ago, its now ~$128 on Amazon. I got it for $50

Are you sure it's the receiver and not your source? Have you tried multiple sources in various connection configurations?

The problem is, the source is my computer. It's just a 2.1 hooked up to my speaker output. I tried having the computer "test" the right speaker by sending a tone through it and that didn't work either.

Can you try different cables between your computer and your receiver? Connect your computer to another set of speakers?

Can you try another source (like an MP3 player)?

err to elaborate, it was because when I played music on my iPhone, my iPhone was tilted up so I could see the screen. When I set it down, I noticed the right speaker stopped playing. Tilted it vertically, and it worked again. Who knew

Chuck Norris, er Ron A found your lack of faith disturbing and hence erased your post along with all the others. Blasphemers.

No problem! I'm glad it was a simple fix.

Simple fixes are always nice.
