DLP Question

I recently purchased the Samsung 50' DLP and when I am watching in Hi Def it seems kind of like there are white dots on the black in the screen. I was just watching the Mets Dodgers game and it was not looking that good. None of the cables are loose. Does anyone else have this problem with their DLP TVs?

Are the dots always in the same place, or is it more like static?

its not like static on the screen like its a loose cord or anything.. I believe the same place. When i watched football on it sunday during day games it was fine. But if it is a night game the black has like some kind of snow flake affect. The TV is only like 14 days old and Circuit City installed it

Maybe some of the mirrors on the DLP chip are stuck.

^ Yeah, that seems like your best bet.

We've had our 50" Sammy DLP about a year and a half now and it looks as good now as it did when we got it, and never any dots. A lot of neighbors and family also have large DLPs and I've never seen those dots on their sets either.

I've saw those dots that you're referring to the other day on a display model at CC, it was a 56" 1080p if that makes a difference

We get that from the upconversion on or DVD player but not from the TV itself. Is it like this on all HD programming?
