Cool down entertainment center electronics?

Anyone know of a way to cool down electronic that are enclosed in a entertainment center?

I have an entertainment center and the xbox360 plus the Sat reciever get very hot and overheat.

I can not leave it open because I have a toddler that could hit his head or pinch a finger.

Any advice?

I drilled some rather large holes behind the equipment. Didn't seem to help much. One day I was planning on putting in a couple fans.

I don't have personal experience, but have a friend who has put fans in his cabinets. you could look into something like this:

Just head over to radio shack and pick up a dc computer fan. They also sell a power cord you can splice onto the fan cord. Drill out your cabinet with a 4 inch hole saw, and then screw the fan with some 2 inch long sheet rock screws or something else that is long enough and self tapping. make sure the fan is pushing the air out and not bring air in. Don't drill extra holes as this will be less effective. We do this quite often in cabinets where customer's equipment heats up. We used to do it more when we sold Harman Kardon. They had a high failure rate do to heat, and the fans substantially cut down on the rate of failures.

I put couple of used 80mm - 92mm computer fans there to suck out the heat. I use one of those tiny multi-voltage power supply. I usually set the power supply to 4.8v and plug it to the AV receiver.

I used to use a 120v AC 92mm cooling fan from Radio Shack . But that was too noisy.
