Damnit your right sorry I ment to say lcd. Anyway I guess if ILO is a walmart brand I would be a little worried about that. Anyone have Emerson? They any good?

Another thing I have to wonder if Vizio is so good why dont they sell to best buy and people like those? I think Best Buy could sell a lot if they put them on because they are so cheap.

I poop on Best Buy. Vizio is sold as a top tier brand. It is what it is, a entry level set. It is regarded as probably the best quality of any of those entry level sets. I would steer clear of the other entry level sets myself, as they do not have that great of a picture quality due to typically having very poor specs. If you picture quality doesn't matter, then take a chance on one, if you are a little picky about the picture, I'd spend a little more.

I don't have any first hand experience with Vizio, but will make this observation. Nearly every time I go to costco on the weekend, I see several people purchasing one of the Vizios. Every other time I go in there, there is at least one that is being or just had been returned. It seems that if you are expecting top notch quality, you may be disappointed. But if you are looking for a good deal on a decent tv, it might just fit the bill.

Anyway thaks for the info and I agree I think Vizio is were I am going because if you are going to spend 500 bucks you might as well do it right and spend another 50.

which is why I bought the nice Samsung TV's for my room and the living room, but a Vizio for the guest room (now, my roommate's room, but he seems to be happy with it)

I just wanted to correct what I said above. I meant to say Vizio is NOT sold as a top tier brand. I just mistyped.

Uh, he didn't mention plasma there. Anyway, Sony doesn't even make plasmas anymore. They put all their eggs in one basket so to speak.
