WTF do I do with this closet?
4 years living in my condo and I hate the master bedroom closet. Its 2 closets that meet at a corner (they are connected). I want to put a closet organizer, either IKEA, or some other type without losing use of the corner. Problem is the door frame at the corner makes is hard to do so. Any suggestions? Here's a pic of it (top right corner)
Damn that is odd. In my master bedroom, I walk past but not "through" my walk-in closet on the way to the bathroom. That means every time he wants to take a leak he has to walk through his closet? Hweird.
Or just make two separate closets, which would in turn make a little hallway to the bathroom. You won't lose (or may gain) closet space and nobody would have to walk through your closet to get to the bathroom, plus when someone goes into your room they won't intially be at the entrance to your bathroom; this is how our master is set up in our house.

^That's basically what he has. The closet doors form the left wall of the hallway to the bathroom. However, I do like how your variation moves the hall/bath entrance from just inside the bedroom door. That's really the only option, too.

Maybe put a pocket door in to separate the dumper from the closet? Although, I'm guessing there is electrical or plumbing in the potential walls, making the project a heck of a lot more expensive.
I can do construction in the unit, I do like madcaps' design, I'll measure it out and see if its worth it. I would have to check if there is any electrical going through the back wall of the closet. The only pain with madcaps' design is the electrical box would be inside the closet since as you walk into the bedroom, directly to the right is the electrical box, but not sure if it would meet the potential new wall.
Otherwise I was thinking about just putting in a closet organizer and having to reach into that corner, maybe put the clothes I don't wear as often (suits/ties, etc) and store some suitcases at the bottom. I'll take a picture of the actual space so you guys have a better idea of what it looks like.

Contracting a licensed electrician and/or plumber is going to be $$. I have a feeling it's not just drywall based on the adjacent bathroom.

There will be some electrical work that would need to be relocated or added, but I don't see why there would be any plumbing issues. The walls that would be torn down and framed out don't seem to be carrying any vents, drains or water lines and even the electrical (unless you have outlets in your closets) would most likely be ran above for lighting; switches are easy to relocate or add. Get a professional in there and have them asses the situation. My design is more on the pricey side and will definitely require professional help. However, like I stated, you will recoup your money and maybe even make a little profit off of it when you decide to sell one day. I wouldn't see it as a waste of money but rather an investment.
Good luck!
Looks like the electrical box won't interfere, there is power in the back wall of the closet, but just an outlet but not sure if the conduit is ran vertically or horizontally.
Outside of construction, should I switch out the doors to sliding ones? Curtains? I think I can make the best of that corner and the top/bottom space with a closet organizing system from IKEA or Home Depot.
