lol thanks guys.
You've all been along for the journey this whole time and have seen some of the utter garbage I've made. It just takes time and effort to learn how to do this, it's not rocket science. I'm pretty sure each and every one of you could do the same.

True, plus a couple $k's of equipment.
Glad it brings you joy to put out the work you do.

Tear down of the shop for winter has begun... While I clean, my only shop employee has been hard at work making these baby milestone things. These will get an epoxy fill in the letters, sanded, and finished this week.

Probably a huge market for those, if they're quick/easy/cheap to produce, easy profits.

How deep can that wood CNC you have cut? I have a problem I need to solve and having a custom piece made out of wood might be the solution. If it can do what I need maybe I will pay you to build it for me.

It can cut ~3in deep. What do you have in mind?

My thought exactly. They're a (clearly) quality made product & a keepsake. Spin up a couple sets & replenish as needed, profit
You know, since you're flush with spare time, and all that.

Whats up with RDX owners?

to Etsy. My only suggestion is maybe use a slightly lower quality wood to keep costs down. And sell them bare, with the option of having the epoxy fill.

In all honesty, this was a scrap piece that I pulled out of the garbage bin lol.
Here's the finished item, I have all but the one year done. Going to make that one a lot bigger. This one is ash filled with metallic brown epoxy. The leopardwood ones are filled with metallic white:

I have a stemmed beer glass that was a limited release item from one of my favorite breweries. My dog managed to knock it off the tab and the stem broke off. I was thinking of cutting the stem mostly off and having a wood base cut for it and make it almost more into like a rocks glass at that point.

I've already printed a bunch of parts for my CNC machine and some other odds and ends. It's a pretty cool machine which is surprisingly inexpensive.
Thank you sir!

Congrats Sam!
The 3d printer is cool. I have so far kept myself away from them however each year the interest in them grows a little more.

I don't think they'll get a whole lot cheaper than they are now. You can get a super crappy printer for under $100 if you want.
On another note, I shut down and cleaned out the wood shop so all three cars are under the roof for the first time since May lol. Also, I ordered a crap ton of leather to get those projects underway as well!

Yeah, I started this last year as something for me to do in the winter while I couldn't do the wood thing. It's a fairly low cost of entry hobby and pretty cool to see the outputs.
Aren't all chaps assless?
I don't have a knife nice enough to sheath lol.
I have a handful of projects in the works for both myself as well as others. Making some custom wallets for people along with a long wallet for my sister and a tote bag (first shot at this) for my wife.

my co-worker found a pretty cool old one while magnet fishing that I cleaned up and I tried my hand at some restoration on it but
it looks like rusty shit...
I might go harder on it but I need to read up on tempering etc and I don't have the space for the equipment necessary. I wood love to though.

You just get it bright red with fire, and then toss it into one of those old jugs of motor oil you have laying around to quench.
I like watching that guy that makes knifes out of not knife stuff. Like underwear and paper and stuff.
It inspired me to drop a few dollars on a couple of decent whetstones and it's really upped my sharpness game. Pocket knife and kitchen knives.

Probably a bit easier to knock out a bit of leatherwork, compared to woodwork, with short bursts of spare time.
