I was home late last night, but my wife said they sanded and asked for the paint colors we wanted... so paint inside should start soon. Wall should also be getting worked on this week. The GC on the job was away last week so the sheet rock was done, but that's it. Still have a lot to do. But he says we'll still be able to move our stuff in last weekend in June (need to close our storage units). We'll see! Pics once more visible work is done... likely later in the week

That is sweet. Can't wait to see the wall and middle garage section progress.

I am still dreaming my car will be done the same time. Problem is it really is probably a pipe dream lol.

Well we're probably looking mid-July for it to be 100% done. I don't care about the outside b/c they can do that without interfering with anything inside... so as long as inside is done we can move stuff in and begin going through what we've been storing for 2 years. Something tells me we'll be selling and donating a lot of stuff!

Thats good to here.

Sometimes its reassuring to know you dont need to have a huge salary to live wealthy lives.

My plan is, make whatever money i'm able too and with good investments make my money work for itself.

^ Well, the huge salaries help you sustain it But "huge salary" is relative. Each person has their own idea of a good income.

Oh and trim should be in today. So that should start. Sanding is all done, and paint is ordered... so that should all be done by Friday. Garage doors are also coming Friday... so everything needs to be done so they can be installed

Location also has a part in it. $100k/yr in NY is nowhere near as good as $100k/yr in Richmond, VA, for example.

OK, few quick pics of the priming/painting which started yesterday. Trim was also delivered, so should have that started today. Garage doors are also slated to be installed, so those should be done when I get home...

Garage doors in. The door on the right will be finished today. They sent the guy with the wrong track since we raised that one to make room for a future lift. Wall is also done, they should start all stone work this week. Steps are also set to tie into our walkway as well...

Garage door install is done. Also, trim is in and staining started yesterday. This is the same trim that is in the entire house... so it will match everywhere. Same with the doors. Solid wood doors in the garage... same as the house. Stone on the wall was started as well, but the sun was giving me a glare so couldn't get a good shot. I will be home a bit later tonight, so should be able to get a pic then. First two pics are the garage, 3rd is mud room.

New pics. Stone wall is coming along very well and they started the stone on the center bay. Sorry that pic is a bit washed out... sun was over the garage and messed with the lighting. Paint was also done yesterday. The blue was supposed to be more of a slate blue... but it's not... it's kind of bright... so that will be getting repainted next week. Hard to get the color of the mudroom, but it's the same color as the house interior. More trim and stone work should be happening today...

So what is this that I just read in another thread that you have pretty much sold your bike? Just as you finally have a proper garage for it.
