^ LOL, my wife actually wants to have a garage party when it's all done.

Yeah, it's been pretty damn warm. Luckily they're pretty well shaded for about half the day. Unfortunately they're shaded in the AM, not the PM, so they bake after noon.

Some pics from the weekend. They worked Friday and Saturday mainly finishing the plywood, cutting out the windows, and started on the wrap.

First pic is the front, second is the rear, third is the mud room up close...

I also took some pics of the inside...

First 3 pics are the garage itself. Next two are the mud room which was tough to photograph. Then upstairs, which was also tough to get. Two are the main area which will be the theater/living room area, then the area where the kitchenette will be, then the bath. I took a pic of the storage area which will eventually be a bedroom... but the sun washed it out, so I'll have to try again.

I was just thinking you needed to post some more pics . Looks great, and they're making really good progress. The workmanship appears to be very good, as well...everything looks square and plumb.

^And it's a better deal than Ravi's, too, since we wouldn't have to move any boxes .

Yeah, they're doing a great job. The few times we have seen something off, they are all over it and it's fixed immediately. The builder is a custom home builder in the area, so I'm sure a garage is easier for them

Yup. Like I told CLPower, the misses wants to have a garage party when it's done! lol.

Well now, that can be arranged. I have two full storage units (10x10 and 10x15) that I need to move the garage, go through, then move whatever we're keeping into the storage upstairs

JB, very very impressive. I wish I did not have an HOA so that I could do something like that...

Thanks! We actually do have an HOA but the lots are so large and spread out that all they really care about is if it will blend with the property and if it's inside the setbacks... so makes it easier. We're also about 600 feet or so off of the road... so no one can really see us anyway .

But no way we could have never built something like this at our last house... no room on the lot

Nope, was beautiful yesterday!!

Two quick pics with the windows in and roof ready for shingles. Second pic got kind of washed out and made the left side disappear b/c of the reflection of the sun off of the wrap. Roof should be started today.

LOL... too funny.

The view is awesome. If you can overlook the overgrown and weed filled yard (hey, we live in the woods, but none of those trees grow money ) then you're golden. Can see the lake pretty much 180 degrees. Will be even nicer when we put a deck off the back down the road...

Two photos showing more roof work. Shingles should be done today (weather permitting), possibly tomorrow. If you look close you can also see some wires as the electrical started as well. First pic is from the front, second pic is from a slightly different angle... down by the pool. Was hard to get the roof from the back b/c of the grade, so tried a new photo location

^ LOL... garage will be pretty much filled from day one. 3 vehicles, 1 motorcycle, 1 ATV and I'm sure a golf cart will follow soon... plus just garage stuff. Sad part is... several of our neighbors have larger garages... like our friend with the 8 car. It's sick... like 3200 square feet...

I didn't bump anything

No real pics yet this week. Pop-up thunderstorms all week has hurt progress. Roof is pretty much done, but doesn't look much different then the photos in post 188, so haven't bothered posting. Hardi-Board is in, so once the weather clears that work should start.
