Our Garage Build Thread - Final pic(s): Page 9

Quick update from the weekend. With the rain we got last week, outdoor work was pretty negligible. Electric was finished, as was plumbing... so that's good.
They started on the Hardi Board and dove tails (to match the house). First pic shows some of the Hardi Board on the left and right bays. Second pic is closer and also shows the dove tails...

Little more progress on the Hardi Board and dove tails. Need these damn storms to stop
First pic is the front. Left and right bays are done. Middle bay will be stone to match the house, hence the reason it was not done. Second pic is the side which is pretty much done and they have started on the rear. Third shot is the rear where you can see they started on the lower left side.... plus all of the windows/doors have been trimmed with the board...

I love Hardie siding. It's looking great! I, too, would love to see these storms ease up...
Looking forward to seeing a pic including your house to see how it all ties in when it's done!

^ Thanks all. It's coming along nicely and now that the Hardie board is going on it's starting to tie things together.
Yeah, I need to figure out an angle to get it all in. Between trees, elevation changes, and now the length of the house with the garage, I may need to stitch two pics together

That back window upstairs is awesome. I love the lines of the entire rear facade.

Thanks all! Bunch of stuff done since the last update. I'll get the pics up shortly. Electrical and plumbing are pretty much done... hoping to get inspections this week so sheetrock can start. The Hardie Board is also just about done. All they have left is the upper section of the back, and that should be it.
Yeah, it brings in a lot of awesome light. Those are 3 french doors with a transom above... so it's like being in a tree house

Got two pics yesterday evening. Back of the garage is almost done. I'm guessing they will finish up today. Also got word that we passed our electrical inspection. One down, two to go...
So two pics of the back, one from a different angle so you can see the top/side a little better. Oh and don't mind all the crap on the patio ...

must be nice to have a big enough property to build out. If I want to add on to my place I must go ^up.

^ Thanks all!
I got home after 9pm last night, so it was already dark. I'll snap some shots today. They should be done with the Hardie board, so on to the next step. I also got word we passed our structural inspection yesterday, so only plumbing left. Not sure when that's scheduled... likely today or early next week.
Anyway, I'll get the pics this weekend assuming they've finished up...

So is there a door on the second level or just three full height windows?

Yeah I was thinking if there was a door you would have to do something. That is awesome you are going to eventually add a deck. The race to see which is finished first your garage or my car lol.

Does other projects mean you will be starting a car project after? You decide between Lotus or Vette yet?

looks very nice. so jealous. a single car garage (only the garage no upstairs, unfinished detached) in my area costs more than 1/3 of the price of your entire addition.
look forward to the finished product.
