haha, yeah, it's in the plan. We have to redo the pool first... then we can do the landscaping around it (including a pool house). It's a long to-do list, but we're not going anywhere =)
I'm uploading new pics now... should have them posted shortly...

Grading continues and the wall has begun. They ran out of block, but the wall will be one row higher on the right side and the columns will be one row higher as well. We're also going to continue the wall to the end of the bushes to the left and have it gradually decrease in height. Should be awesome.

That is sweet. I am really a big fan of walls in landscaping. They are one of my favorite features. They add a lot of depth/seperation to a design.

Hey all! Jason, sorry to hear. Hopefully it will be ready by IA.
Insulation is done. All they insulated was the ceiling (in prep for finishing out the space above down the road) and the mud room since it will be part of the house. Final inspection before sheetrock should be today. If all goes well sheetrock will start this week. The wall should also see more work as stone should be starting this week.
Space above the garage will eventually be a theater/bonus room/guest room space with some storage. It won't be finished out for a little while though... so it will mainly be storage for now...

^ haha. Well, it's going to be a while. We were at a BBQ at a friend's house this weekend hanging out by their pool... so of course the misses says... I miss having a pool, maybe we should do that next. So now we're looking into a landscaping architect to design a phased year renovation. So we'll see. Hoping to have upstairs finished by the end of next year. I want my theater

To lazy to go back and read. I assume they will start the stone middle section of the garage when they do the stone on the wall then?
#261
^ Thanks! We're pretty excited. As it's coming together it's exceeding expectations.
Yeah, they'll be doing the wall, middle bay, walkway in the breezeway, and the lower part of the mudroom. Wall and breezeway will be in more of a flagstone which matches another wall on the driveway and walkway we put in last year. Middle bay and mud room will be local stone from our property and community that we have been collecting over the months. The stone on our house is from the land so we want to match it and none of the quarries really could... so we took matters into our own hands.
Also got word that we passed our final inspection yesterday, so sheet rock should begin this week...

That must have been some task collecting stone over the last year enough to cover all the garage and mudroom.

^ lol, yeah... it's been fun. Only been doing it since March... so about 3 months or so. We used the ATV with a trailer around the yard and my truck around the neighborhood. Probably have about a pallet and a half worth... so we're hoping it's enough! If it's not raining when I get home tonight I'll snap a pic of the pile

That sounds like it will be cutting it close. Depends on how high the pallet is stacked I guess but I would think that may only cover the garage.

Cool. Hopefully it will be enough. Stupid rain needs to go away so they can work on that stuff.

Looks good the rest of the week... so we'll see. The truck was not able to deliver the sheet rock yesterday b/c it was too muddy in front of the garage. They did get some in, so they started on the mud room yesterday evening. My wife said they are back today, so some progress is being made despite the rain the last couple of days...

Pic of the rock pile. The picture does not do it justice as there are two other pallets of stone next to it... and the pile dwarfs them. Probably close to 2 tons there. Sorry for the blurry pic... it was 6:15am when I snapped it, so lighting wasn't best...
