Before I purchase my Little Giant Ladder...
anyone have a coupon or hook up. Looks like all the sites lead are entertwined and they are all selling at the same price.
I am looking at the 17 1A at $359.80 and buying an extra accessory at $39...

no, I have never. I saw some aluminium extension ladders in the Lowe's site and may go check those out. The extensions seem to be the way to go since they may be lighter.
The 17 1A from the Little Giant site says it is 40 lbs in weight.

We were going to buy the Little Giant but found that Frontgate carried a very similar ladder for a lot less money. Frontgate got their ladder from Costco.
Little Giant 17 ft - $360
Little Giant 22 ft - $400
Frontgate Ladder 21 ft - $345 (including tax and shipping)... so the ladder itself was only around $285.
We needed the bigger one... but as you can see, the 21 foot is cheaper then the Little Giant 17 foot. The bigger ladder is heavier then the one on TV though.
Here's a link the Costco 16' ladder (I don't see the 21' on Costco's site so they must not offer that... only through certain retailers).... http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...pnav=&cat=&s=1 .
At $150... much, much cheaper... and just as good.

I almost bought a Gorilla ladder from Home Depot. They are about 1/3 the price of Little Giant. They don't have any cool accessories though. I like the fact that you can get a stand for the LG ladder to put paint on.
Considering that there are alternatives I think the LG is over priced.

junior.. thanks. I like the look of that one and will go check it out this weekend. I almost did not post on the ladder thinking none of here would be in the know with ladders. Boy, was I wrong

We've had our ladder for about 4 months or so now and we love it. It's a little heavy (like 60 pounds) b/c it's the 21' version... but not bad and it's made out of the same aluminum as the L.G one is. I've used it in all different configs... just like the commercial for the L.G (on stairs, etc), and it is solid as a rock. Never once has it wobbled.... even on uneven ground....
One of my neighbors had a L.G (17') but sold it before they moved. When they got down here they needed to borrow mine, and he loved it... said there wasn't much of a difference between the two. When I told him how much I paid he figured out the biggest difference .

The 13ft Home Depot/Gorilla Ladder that normally sells for $99 is on sale for $60 this weekend. I must now have one.

Home Depot now carries the genuine Little Giant Ladder. I guess that's why they were clearing out the Gorillas.
