^You don't have room for a bar like this?

me and my friend did P90x, avoided as much carbs as possible.... he went from having a triple chin at ~187 to losing 15 lbs in 1.5 mos.

Rockstar that's crazy man. With all of these programs I still find dieting to be the hardest part...

Dieting takes extreme discipline. It's doing what you don't want to do.

I find it very hard to go on a strict diet if you're always hanging out with friends. My friends always call me lame for being on a diet. I sometimes give in, and I sometimes hold my ground.

Btw, does anyone get "bored" of doing some of the videos? I've done Pure Cardio so many times I basically memorized the routine, even down to how long I should do it for. I sometimes feel like I don't even need to run the video. Just run my favorite TV show and do the routine.

Hey Mizouse, you said you're not losing weight, but do you at least have better body composition? Maybe you're just gaining good muscle weight?

I've gained 5 lbs the last 3 weeks.. But no way it's fat.. It has to be muscle mass..

All I want is that 6 pack though!! I'm fine with the rest.

And thanks everyone.

Well my measurements are getting smaller IIRC 2-3" off my waist, so I assume I'm gaining muscle.

I'm just wishing I could drop like 50LBS in 2 months I know, not reasonable

dont get discouraged Miz! I got amazing results my first round of insainty, then life happened and i got sidetracked a little( well, ALOT).

Started my second round 8 months later, and my wife even said she could tell my mind wasnt really into it. It felt harder the second time for me for some reason, and i only do it sparingly

Still working on getting motivated enough to start it again.

However, I can say, if you have the motivation, this program is definately "Insane" and will give you results in 60 days. Dieting plays a big role in results too. And get plenty of rest so your body can recover/ rebuild

oops, it is. Just thought it was a funny sign. Not knocking Insanity or P90X at all.

Yeah I did insanity a few months back loved it and saw results... Just getting off my break now and starting up on TAPOUT XT. That looks crazier than insanity.

I will openly admit I don't know much about the Insanity or P90X programs, but from the ads I've seen and the Crossfit WOD's I've been doing 3-5x a week for over a year, I will emphatically say they are not the same. Maybe in the most basic of concepts they are slightly similiar.

they have obvious differences, such as using an actual gym, equipment space.
they have instructors giving you direction and motivation.

but they idea of strength training at a very accelerated/non-stop pace are one in the same.

P90X is a closer routine b/c it uses weights but i have went through a Crossfit class, and there was a whole lot of the same stuff, you just have other people and instructors to do it with.

there are obvious differences.i just meant for one to be maknig fun of the other is kind of ridiculous, considering...

That's ironic...because my wife dislocated her "Knee Cap" during insanity (So says the Dr.)

Yeah Insanity took a beating on my knees too... TapOut is not as bad with the knee... that's 1 of the reasons why I tried this out instead of P90x.

well im done with my 60days.

Sorta happy, didnt see crazy gains like they show on the infomercial. i blame it on my diet. it was not enough, even thou i tried hard!

anyways lost 8lbs and lost 3" off my chest, 2" off my waist and 2" off my hips.

i dont think im going to do another round of this. My knees and thighs will not be able to take it.

so i think im gonna try either P90x or TapouT XT

most important, gotta work on that diet!

P90x, do it.

I went from huffing and puffing around on a basketball half-court to feeling like Superman on the full court after just 1.5 mos of P90x.

One of my managers went from 175 to 160 in 2.5 mos. My buddy went from 185 to sub-170 in 1.5 mos. Chick I knew went from kinda chubby to being able to see definition in her abs after 3 mos.

Should also note that each one of us completely changed our dieting routine. I went from drinking several times a week to having just one cheat day a week and no sodas, 90% fewer junk food, smaller and fewer carbs in my meals.

also no junk food either. and im drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. but yea i think i should try cutting back on carbs even more.

only thing about p90x im not so sure about is how my knees will handle it.

i kind of want to try the tapout one cause it seems more fun with the striking and what not

Carbs are probably the most difficult to eliminate. Once you have a few go to meals it will be much easier.

It's probably all the Chinese food I eat. That shit is bad for you.

But it's not like I eat that all the time.

Easy way to get off soda or beer was to just drink sparkling water. I bought a carbonator a few years ago and it was one of the best things in the world.

Maybe it's because you're over eating and you don't know it? You can burn a lot of calories but the same calories can easily be put back into your body. I believe just a bowl of Chinese food with fried rice and meat could be in the 800+ calories range. Please don't tell me you opt for the two entree plate.

For lunch I try to keep the portion of the food small. When I am traveling for work, I would get the McDonald's Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad. Including the dressing, it comes out to a little over 400 calories. It's actually pretty damn good.

For dinner, I cook my own food consisting of chicken breast, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and one egg. I season the chicken and vegetable with McCormik's seasoning. The seasoning really makes eating this same stuff every day bearable. I cook with cooking spray instead of oil as it is extremely low in calories (like 2 calories?).

I have started to eat like this for the past week and I can see and feel the weight coming off.

Keep a food journal for one week, tracking what you eat (everything, even if it is just a piece of fruit or peanuts). Post here.

Hmm thought you meant you eat fast food Chinese. I'm not assuming you eat a lot of crap, but having a good diet is major in fat loss.
