Just out of curiosity, did anyone actually ever finish any of these programs?

All I hear are crickets.

Good deal, brother I wish the utmost success for you.

I just hear of GOBS of people running this program for a few weeks, getting all 'rah-rah' P90, then...

day 2 was worse, much longer workouts..

but I don't feel as bad afterwards.. hopefully the soreness starts to fade in a week or two.. it's making my job a bit miserable.

Most people die prior to completion due to exertion...

My friend is doing it now. Not 100% if he's following the program or not, but I think he'll at least try to finish.

most people likely do quit at some point into it.

but there are many who finish.. the results are all over youtube. pretty much my motivation.

Yup I have, and I did see results! Since I'm training for the Men's Health Urbanathlon now, I have switched to running outside and lifting so I haven't started Insanity again.

i dont plan to re-visit the program once im done either.

this is strictly to lose a weight goal and tone my exisiting muscles...

the people that do 3,4,5 cycles are shaped funny and almost look unhealthy.... to me.

i just wanted to check by in with you guys on this..

week one is complete and i've lost just over 9lbs. (about a lb. per day.)

i know a majority of it is due to the diet but the rate of weight loss is pretty staggering..

the program is helping me burn more calories then im taking in...
hopefully by week 3 i can hit my 20lb. goal...

update:

almost the end of week 3 and im down 19lbs.

by tomorrow or sunday i'll be at my original 20lb. goal..

i'd still like to lose another 10 after that... and im sure i can achieve that by the end of the 7th-8th week.

starting to see a small difference. but feel much lighter on the feet.

I am strongly considering this, but I don't know if I'll be able to do this, my regular weight training at the gym, AND then football on the weekends. My knees wouldn't like this very much and I'll probably have to cut something out if I were to start P90X.

It's a very good sign when you see that your face is getting thinner

That means you're doing it right

still at it... still losing weight (much slower now)

and with the addition of running and the gym, i can now eat more foods than just nasty diet meals and tiny portions.

muscles are starting to gain strength and areas on the chest/stomach are slowly getting tight and burning the remaining fat.

i hope to start seeing abs (at least upper) in the next 2-3 weeks.

i'll just add a picture to my timeline each time.
btw, from first to last is just over 30 lbs. in just over 2 months.

well, considering im not on insanity program anymore, its almost moot to keep posting my updates in here, but i dont want to make a thread just for myself... so here are my current results.

im going to the gym about 4 times a week and playing indoor soccer on fridays for cardio.

im continuing to lose weight (slowly) but it is going away. i REALLLLY want those abs by summer and i can see tiny signs of a breakthrough, but i need to go super strict on my diet to achieve that.

anyways. here is where im at right now.

i'd like to have a clear visual of abs by May if possible. My diet is very sporatic and i know that has to change, but im definitely not eating terrible. just not consistent in calorie intake or portions.

i'd need something planned out to follow, b/c what im doing now is great for slowly losing weight but not cutting tons of surface fat, which is what i need.

my abs are much more apparent in "feel" i do about 120 situps on a normal workout day and up to 200 on core days, but its not eliminating the layer of fat on top of them.

im assuming that has to do with my diet. so starting in the next few days, i will be tracking food stats and eating smaller portions, more often to get my metabolism up and crank fat loss through the roof. less weight and more reps at the gym also.

my muscle build will be put on hold but im already at a good size and can get back easily if i decline too much in strength.

some final stuff before i start my building process.

i hit my final goal of 50 lbs of weight loss!

started at 225 and dropped to 175 some time last week.
its been a tough journey and i loved every minute of it (almost)

i even have some abs trying to creep out! (just in time for the beach!)

so here is my progress that started nearly 8 months ago. (last picture being about a week ago.

i credit everything to good ol' fashioned hard work, dieting, support from friends and family.

I am down 20 lbs in 4 weeks just by busting butt at the gym and that workout is hard to do...maybe I'll give this insanity thing a try

I went thru 5 weeks of this thing before leaving on my trip, only lost about 4lbs and an inch off my waist.

I did have a better diet too, but maybe it wasn't enough

Were you heavily sweating after each exercise? Most of the time what you put in is what you get out.

I only do their Cardio exercises though. As fit as I think I am, I always end up sweating like crazy afterwards.

Yes I was sweating like crazy. It literally looked like I jumped into a pool and came out. That's how much sweat I was dripping.

I don't think the weight is an issue cause you might just be gaining them through muscle. I'd say the inch off your waist is a better scale to look at.
