The armpit fat will go away with time and a good diet....i defineatly looks like your heading in the right direction though I know it takes alot of dedication

In 4 weeks ill be starting the cutting process

Good job man, you've made some nice improvements.

Mind if I ask what your chest routine is?

You need to start working on your shoulders... you have a very square shaped upper body.

And start doing some good core exercises. This will provide additional gains on a variety of body parts.

ive been doing shoulders for the past 2 weeks because i noticed the same thing. i will be doing shoulders in my weekly routine now.

my chest workout last night was :4 sets of each
flat dumbells
dips
incline iso laterals
flys

then did triceps and finished with flat bench with only 20 lbs on the 45 lb bar and did as many reps as i could for 4 sets (3 close grip and 1 wide grip)

You may want to throw in some good old heavy incline b/dbell. I will help your chest stick out a bit more and take the emphasis of your gut.

the reason i havnt been doing incline bumbells like i used to is cause last time i did it was hurting my shoulders and i couldnt seem to find the right angle. ive been focusing on my flat dumbells lately cause for the first month i was back in i didnt do flats because i was trying to focus on my lower chest...but i was doing the flat iso laterals back then.

Yea, there is a fine line between your shoulders and top of your chest. Make sure you don't angle the bench too high.

my starting weight was 247,and now im at 233. its hard to tell how much fat ive left, but ive def gained alot of muscle since.

to add to my last post,my carb intake right now is 90% from my protein which is 26G per shake 3 times a day,so i get about 75-100G a day of carbs, depending.

i was getting about 60G of carbs per shake with my complex carb + whey protein, which im not taking anymore, unless its for breakfast and i do that with 1 scoop of that with 1 scoop of nitro core 24 (mixed blend protein)

Sucks to hear about your wife.

Just curious...are you worried about how your tattoos will look once you lose more size? Or have you noticed already?

the ones on my sides have bad lines now from when i got real fat and lost that 47 lbs, cause of the stretch marks down my sides, and as well as on my lower stomache, but eh i dont really care so much. the ones on my arms shouldnt really be any different.

i doubt ill ever get low enough body fat (or at least its looking that way) to show my abs and make the zombie look funny. same with my back.

i would rather be tone/shredded and have goofy tattoos, than have all the flab i have now.

What do you do for work being tatted up like that, especially visible ones like on the neck? And are you Bi-Polar... asking obviously due to the tattoo.

Hey, this is the first time I'm posing in this thread but I have been lurking since inception.

Everyone goes for a different body look. I am 140 on a 5'9 frame with minor definition around the ab's, we are clearly different body types to begin with.

If I were you, I would be skipping the weights for a little while and do pure cardio. Lots of rowing machine, since that will target your lower back (the main stress point in the row motion) and your armpits (lattisimus dorsi's which you were complaining about before in your armpits). Start your workout with 20 minutes of that and I'm sure in 3-4 months you will be much happier with that area

now that u mention it,ive decided to start doing 10-12 reps instead of my normal 6-8 and getting back into the cardio. the stress of my wife leaving me has really lowered my motivation to go running but im going to start up again. i may try the rowing machine.

im also back on a fat burner after a month break. im trying out hydroxycut hardcore instead of my normal lipo 6. other than protein and my normal daily vitamins these are the only supps im taking. no creatine or no anymore,im off cycle and i dont suppose ill start up for at least another month. im not seeing any negative effects of not being on them except a little less intensity but not enough to make me spend an extra 80$ a month on supps.

Listen bro, I know that you just had a lot of shit go down with your relationship. I know how you're confused and your feelings are all over the place and can distract you from many things.

I've been saying since you started this thread that cardio should be your main priority. You always came back and said that you knew what you're doing. You said you know, but I havent seen a single post reflecting how much cardio you've done other than your weight loss. You keep talking about how much you lifted each week. Now if that was your goal, then sweet but you said you wanted to lose the fat and keep the mass.

You said you're gonna stick to your program for 6 months and not even 2 months in, you're changing your reps. You need to find/make a program and stick to it. You cant keep changing cause you will never reach your goal. Take it from me, I gave up pop and smoking. I went from 200 to 185 and 14% BF in a year from this and was able to maintain. Since then, I am roughly 195lbs and 12%. I keep a mini notebook with me at the gym and log everything down after my workout so I know what I need to do next time.

Take this post how you will. I'm not making fun of you or trying to blast you. In fact, I encourage you to ask me questions for help. I learned my body and how it works and now I'm on the right track to achieving my goals. I hope you can reach yours soon too but you're gonna have to stick to a plan. $.02

^I agree. I believe this thread started about bulking up. Then one day you want to get ripped. If I were you, I wouldn't give up weights altogether but throw in cardio (sprinting/jogging), bodyweight (pullups/pushups/situps), plyos (box jump/burpees) and just do strong lifts (deadlift/squat/military/clean). That's the whole boot camp/crossfit regimen and people are getting shredded doing this.

i was doing cardio every day like i said i was gonna, then the gym hours changed and ive just been doing my normal workout days, because ive also been dealing with my whole marriage issue, and ive been lifting as a release. once i started lifting heavy,i got addicted and wanted to keep raising my max. that wasnt my original plan, but then i wanted to see how much i could really lift.

i never do the same workout routine,i always do diff exercises every week,to try to keep it changing (except flat decline and sometimes incline bench)
but i always lifted 6-8 reps heavy.

the reason i decided to go to 10-12 reps is cause i wanna get the cardio in more and not worry so much about keeping on raising my max anymore (just maintain a good strentgh and current size).

like i was saying before i wasnt happy with my size, and i wanted to grow still, but now im getting pretty happy with my mass,so now i wanna start the cardio back up to start to show it more, because my current situation is a slow fat loss process as it is right now.

i was excited about my lifting successes thats why i would update more on that rather than say " i ran today,it sucked" lol

but now, once i get back in the gym next week (i have to take this week off cause my dad had a surgery today and will be in the hospital all week and i have to take my mom 2 hours every day to see him)
im gonna start my cardio back up and raise my reps just to maintain and not so much keep bulking.
ill keep u guys updated. im hoping i wont have to wait another week to get back in the gym,im gonna try to squeeze it into my situation. i spent 13 hours at the hospital today.

ive already spoke to my workout partner, and he got excited when i said we were gonna start doing cardio lol boo.

thanks for the support guys.

Keep it up. As long as your motivated enough to go to the gym and make a change you should be golden. More cardio + higher reps i think will get you to where you wanna be. I'm trying to burn off fat too, def not easy

You don't have to just jog more to burn off the fat. I dropped a size and ran long distance maybe twice a week while eating shit. A lot of it was fun stuff like boot camp/crossfit stuff and the workout was no more than 30 minutes. Everyone hates cardio since the typical mentality is that you have to go run for 30 minutes. Trust me. There are many ways of dropping pounds. Adding 4 reps to each set to your weightlifting routine is not very efficient.

i am about to finish up my tub of nitro core 24,and just ordered some more protein, the complete protein diet from ON (only 3 g of carbs and 200cal)

the hydroxycut hardcore almost made me puke. one of the side effects is nausea, and within 20 min of taking it i seriously almost puked..but im going to keep taking it and my body will adjust in a couple days.

gonna hit the gym today before i go to the hospital. i might just have to go early in the day for the rest of the week.

another update:

i just tried on some pants i bought in jan but couldnt wear cause they were too tight on the theighs and snug on the waist.

now they are loose all around and fit great with a loose fitting waist.
this is a good example of how much lower body, body fat that ive lost, because to me thats the hardest to notice without actually measuring.

^ unless your a potential supermodel girlfriend I wouldn't worry so much about how I look.

My looks never hindered my ability to get hot girls and I'm sure they won't later (if me and my wife don't fix things)

And my wife is hot and loves my ink and chin strap. Kthxbye

well my dads finally out of the hospital and i dont think hell be going back again,so i am finally getting back on track, for the past few weeks ive been having to squeeze my workouts in between driving to see him.

my current weight is 228,and my starting weight was 247...

im still really stressed over my current situation with my wife, but i am doing my best to resolve it.

my workouts have been fine, but my sleep is lacking from the stress/thinking...but im still managing to get at least 7 hours a night.

thanks for dropping by.

thanks man.

tonight i decided to try a ORM and i grabbed 120lb dumbells for flat bench,i repped them 4 times,so not really an orm but pretty close. thats 10 lbs more than i weigh so im not complaining.

normally lately i just use 100 lb dumbells and rep to 12-14 (chest) and still do cardio after my workouts.

my diet is off and on as much as i try to be strict, but im not nearly as self controlled as i used to be,but i still do pretty well most of the time. im still losing fat obviously and gaining muscle for sure, only 4 more months till my goal time. i really need to start busting ass.
