Good set of Window Guards
Does any one know where I can order or buy a good set of window guards? I hate Acura does not have the factory ones and the ones I've seen have been trash.

I've only seen 2 options. Weathertechs and Well Visors. I personally went with Well Visors because they flow better with the car. More sporty look. They also have a dummy chrome trim.
You can order from wellvisors.com for $85 + free shipping. You can check out my build thread for photos.
Weathertechs are $200-300.

I just went to the WELLvisors web site and found some visors for our 2013 RDX, but nothing for our 2014 TL. I tried 2012 and 2013 TL as well, but it said there were no products available. How did you get these visors for your TL? Have they discontinued them?

I ordered from their site. That's weird they say it's not available. I would contact them.

The inconvenient truth
When I posted that on may 2nd the well visors website said they were in stock. But I was at work and decided to order them when I got home. Then something came up that night and I forgot. Now its may 4th and the website says they are out of stock... ah lol that sucks.

So are you saying that the WeatherTech are functionally superior, or that they're about the same, but that the WellVisor is (subjectively) better looking?

WellVisors seem to be the consensus for the better looking guard. The WeatherTech install very simply with no adhesive needed - they are precisely molded to fit in the window channel. WellVisor looks like adhesive is needed and I would think that would have issues. I mean it is all up to what look everyone is going for. I would assume both would function equally.

Damn, they went fast. I just got mine in today and got it installed. I have the ebay app and just hit "watch item" on the $800 one. When it was back in stock, my app alerted me the price dropped to $82. So I ordered it once it popped up. The next day, a Wellvisor rep emailed me saying they have stock again. So give that a try if you are wanting one.

When someone rips one in the car and you need to air out the car but it's raining outside. Weird to some. Not so weird to others.

Anyone have any experience taking the WellVisors out? Since they use adhesive, I'm concerned that if I installed these, and later changed my mind, it might be a mess.

Shouldn't be too bad. The strip is only about half an inch wide. Just use some heat before you try to peel it off and take your time. I actually had to take my rear driver side one off today because a corner didn't stick down properly.

the purpose is to ventilate air without all the noise. sometimes i dont want to turn on the ac when its a nice 65-68 degrees outside so i just crack the windows open an inch on all windows to ventilate air and still listen to my music at a reasonable volume.

i took mine off a couple weeks ago, mine were on for about 1.5yrs, and when they came off, you just gotta use a microfiber cloth and some elbow grease to any adhesive that stayed on the trim.

all you gotta do is buy googone and spray it on, let it sit and just rub it off with a microfiber..
people bitch about "oh i dont want to use double sided tape as i dont want to deal with it later when i remove it"
well there is such a product for that purpose..

Sadly, as August is right around the corner, at this point, it seems like a waste of time to me. Interesting business model they have; they're like a pop-up store, only with a permanent web presence.
